  1. I couldn't resist a little ribbing. In all seriousness though. Drew turned a corner into the most accurate QB in NFL history. I think for the moment I'm good on drawing comparisons between our QB and any hall of famer. We've already put heavy expectations upon Young. I mean the kid was compared to athletes in different sports like Curry and Jordan ahead of the draft. The hype reached a level of lunacy I've only seen a few times with other QB's over the years. But it's time we be realistic. I just want him to become a franchise QB at this point and start connecting on the deep ball.
  2. I don't think it's even fair to compare the two. Cam was such a rarity for the position when you watched him play you just knew he was going to be special. Even if he was up and down stats wise. The size the physicality the charisma he was a franchise QB pretty much immediately. Now there were people who argued that until they were about to engage in fisticuffs. But anyone with eyes and an unbiased view knew what he was. He has already gone down as arguably the most dominant dual threat QB of the modern era. So many QB's have since or will be drafted have counted him as inspiration. So yeah all in all any QB drafted first overall would have tough sledding to follow that up. Bryce Young has his work cut out for him. Hopefully we can develop him and not ruin him with these incompetent fools we have surrounded him with.
  3. This man really held out until the bye week lol. Just comically stubborn. Worse than Ron Rivera. That's a serious feat.
  4. You know you aren't helping anyone else in here right? By association anyone else talking up Bryce Young with you within a few posts of theirs are thinking "will this guy leave?". You can sling as many poo reactions as you want stakeout my user profile and insult as much as you want. Have a better Monday if you can.
  5. We can blame whomever we want for the time being but through the second half of the season we have to get some semblance of a deep ball connection with our #1 pick. It shouldn't be controversial or considered piling on to suggest. And the chemistry excuse went out the window months ago. We are saying the same things now that we said back in camp when he was the only QB putrid in deep ball drills.
  6. I get you're frustrated and you want to stick up for Bryce Young but this stuff is cringe. The connections you are trying to make with Bryce Young actually apply to CJ Stroud. He was the one who was vilified for not being enough of a leader not intelligent enough and having the content of his character questioned because of his background growing up. Yeah Cam had some of his own letdown moments. The Super Bowl being the biggest no doubt. But he remains the only MVP in 30 years of Panthers history. Even with all the losing mixed in. Those are big cleats to fill. It isn't fair but that's sports.
  7. He's plenty capable. I don't think our weapons are as bad some people have suggested. With the right coaching better playcalling and consistent QB play we shouldn't be getting blown off the field. No excuse for the only touchdown in one half of football to come from the defense.
  8. Yeah this notion that Stroud is playing on the NFL version of his old Ohio St team is laughable. You guys need to stop trying so hard to cope with reality. The Texans have some good players in certain spots and they seem to have hired the right coach. But Stroud is elevating those around him just as he did in college. Even a casual observer should be able to see that. In time hopefully Bryce can prove to do the same.
  9. I don't honestly know why you quote me you have mental issues. Enjoy your day.
  10. Remember when Tepper couldn't find a camera he didn't want to get in front of in the QC? He should be completely embarrassed. He's consistently been in hiding through all this losing only to show his face when it's time to draft players and direct his yes men on who he wants. Then it's right back to a clown show for all of the NFL to see.
  11. I was assured by some here that the Colts offense would look so much better with Minshew. He threw it 55 times for 1 touchdown and 3 picks lmao.
  12. Not even a comparison at this point. Cam was a monster out of the gate as a rookie throwing for almost 1k yards in his first two games. We knew what we had.
  13. I can agree route running is a big layer within our issues. Though it's looking like Mingo was probably the incorrect pick given our immediate need for WR. He has potential but looking at his college production he was always going to take at least a few seasons to develop. Yet another Fitterer misstep. I'm going to go back and rewatch some throws from this game. There are definitely some bright spots. I just don't see any quick fix solutions even for next season unless we overpay a WR in free agency.
  14. Well we know no one is scared of Shenault as a receiver. Mingo is a rookie. TMJ just stinks. Chark is becoming a victim of both poor coaching and defenses playing him differently knowing we haven't had a good downfield pass in weeks. Let's be honest. The last one was in Seattle.
  15. Either way he's a hall of famer and the most consistently accurate QB of all time. We need to stop with these desperate comparisons. Right now we just need our QB to prove he was worthy of the top pick.
  16. I'm sure she's a nice woman. If somehow she can put aside her and her husband's ego and convince him to hire a real NFL mind with years of experience to assess the situation search for a GM and assemble a new front office in the offseason I won't have anything negative to say at all.
  17. Nicole Tepper avatar lol. The boot licking knows no bounds for some.
  18. Some of it is organizational failure some of it is just picking the wrong guy and that sadly happens just as often. I'm not going to bother with what if scenarios CMC is gone Moore is gone Bryce Young is here this is his team. He's going to get at least another few years and it looks like a new regime to showcase what he can do. I'm going to have to break with you entirely on the Brees take my guy. If he looked like Brees we don't go down giving up 42 unanswered points.
  19. That's fair. It's also fair to say that Tua in terms of his career then and now is more on the rare side. There is a long list of QB's like Tua who don't turn the corner for different reasons. I'd love to have a do over and keep Moore in favor of Burns but I do think just as some people are being unfair to Bryce Young some people are finding themselves doing the same to the receivers not named Terrace Marshall or rookie Mingo. Chark is a legitimate deep threat and Theilen and Hurst are at least acceptable security blankets. Our OL is crap that's hurting Bryce as much as poor coaching has. But for the sake of Young's development he has to start connecting with DJ.
  20. It's funny getting a poo reaction from an account created within the last 20 minutes. Not obvious at all
  21. Then that's not a first overall pick. Have you asked yourself where this point guard talk came about? It's a nice way of saying game manager. Has anyone ever held the top pick and told the world all they seek with it is a game manager? Tepper and his yes men are bumbling idiots.
  22. Reich and Fitterer must go. The Tua comp makes sense on the surface but Tua's YPA is basically twice what Bryce Young's is and that has to change regardless of all extenuating circumstances.
  23. Shanahan is as much responsible for his success as that supporting cast is. There are very few coaches like him out there. Him and Andy Reid are basically in their own league.
  24. JR did bring football here which he will forever get credit for. But he was loyal to the league to a fault even when they bent us over and went in dry with their refs over and over and over. He also was a condescending curmudgeon during the lockout. He thought the league would never turn on him after all those years of total loyalty. He was wrong. Not only did they completely fug him over they forced the sale to egomaniac David Tepper who thinks he knows how to run a sports franchise without any outside help.
