Fitterer is an Absolute Idiot for Not Trading Brian Burns in 2022
frankw replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Most are down on Burns but I still think we end up getting good compensation out of it if he leaves. The issue is we cannot under any circumstances allow Scott Fitterer to use those picks. Also while I fully admit I have been disappointed with Brian this season people who think Burn is total trash should prepare for the likelihood wherever he goes next he lights it up. That's been the trend for former Panthers and the amount of vitriol he received only makes it more likely. -
They were thinking we better do what the boss and his wife says.
-
I mean yeah but we're just comparing trash piles at this point. Both are awful but Rhule was an egomaniac that earned nothing at this level and tried to force his own crappy culture in here and push out Keep Pounding. Fug Matt Rhule.

Actually we're living that currently. 32nd in total yards 31st in yards per game and 29th in points per game

15 year season ticket holder... I won't be renewing
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't blame anyone one iota for refusing to pay good money for this product. That's the only true way to send a message. All that being said. Jerry Richardson in comparison to the shitshow that has been the Tepper years was obviously more successful. But I don't want to go back to that either. Before Cam got here and put his stamp on the culture Jerry let the Panthers be a doormat to the NFL often to the detriment of our own franchise. Wherever we go from here just expect better than either of the two between JR and Tepper. -
And the Giants have one of the worst olines in recent memory. 63 sacks given up on the season. That's insane.

Intangibles aside, let's grade straight-up QB traits (Bryce)
frankw replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Physical toughness is probably his best trait so far. Unfortunately the mental aspects and "elite" processing that were so often mentioned in support of him as the pick have been disappointing at best. -
If it were up to many people here on the huddle we would have drafted the QB who is on pace for one of the best rookie seasons ever and in MVP talks.
-
We played a good team and got whooped as most expected. Where were these excuses when we played inferior competition and one of the worst teams in the league in the Bears and could not reach the end zone once? Bryce Young's in season Super Bowl was the Texans game and we struggled mightily to muster 15 points.
-
It was not a wise throw regardless of Mingo. He's flanked by two defenders. Bryce's body language looks to just be going through the motions and wanting to get the ball out of his hands. Very strange some people want to eviscerate only Mingo for this play.
-
Scot you're just moving the goal posts as we go Greg is long retired he can't help us. This all boils down to Bryce Young needing to play better.
-
It's a carefully worded statement not meant to directly criticize anyone.
-
The Bears and Giants are two of the worst teams in the league yet both had undrafted backup quarterbacks put up performances equal to or better than Bryce Young's best game to date. You can only blame the scheme so much. At some point your QB has to dig in and make some plays regardless of circumstances. That's what you expect from a #1 overall pick. I feel like some people have become accustomed to just pointing fingers and lowering expectations.

Greg Olsen is a Panther for life he is not going to pile on Bryce Young he's offering him a lifeline that's good he's a stand up guy I would not expect any less. Ellis? We've already covered that. I get the sense most former players saying this and that just don't want to make Bryce Young's life even worse. And yes having played for Alabama absolutely helps don't even kid yourself for a second. It's a hell of a lot more support than Cam Newton had after being rookie of the year and the Charlotte Observer put out that Hello Kitty picture and scathing article that followed.
-
We've all discussed it adnauseum. But you still don't want to see your #1 pick you traded up to acquire looking like and ranked the worst quarterback in the league. You can't just blame that away unfortunately. Our only hope is to see him next season under what we think may be a new regime. I'm not so sure though. One thing I can tell you regardless of whether it's Reich or whomever. Bryce Young has to start taking snaps from center and look good doing it or it will not matter who his coach is.

Another Monday morning after an abysmal offensive performance another round of coping
-
Can't keep living in the past. The thing with Wilks is no different from Ron Rivera. They were basically the same coach. Great human beings. But we've already seen that. If any of you are so eager to see another defensive minded head coach you'll probably get your wish when Evero is named interim. That would be a better path than going backwards yet again.
-
I agree it's disheartening. Worse is when you visit here and all some people want to do is attack any concerns or dissenting opinion. As for "Bruce"...
-
At the end of the day most people would be able to look beyond the picks if he was actually pushing the ball downfield. But he finished the game with 4.2 yards per attempt. He's bottom three in the league in YPA. The only QB's worse than him have less than half his number of starts. And he now has the lowest QBR in the entire league. Worse than Tannehill Zach Wilson Pickett Daniel Jones Mac Jones and Desmond Ridder.
-
Maybe watch the other games Bryce Young has started in before laying blame everywhere else. Just a thought.
-
People who still defend Tepper and his wife should be lobotomized.
-
Can we place blame on both or is that simply not allowed? It's weird to want to sacrifice one rookie to absolve the other.
-
At this point yeah I would take a hard look at another young QB in next years draft. But I think regardless we are doomed. Tepper thinks he has actual football knowledge and I don't see him removing himself from the equation whether it's Fitterer and Reich or any other combination of possible replacement hires.
-
There's always a scapegoat.

Another pick six? Oof. @The NFL Shield At Midfield who is a good choice to blame for that one?
