  1. It's coping because you and others have made it a weekly mission to tell us how terrible every single player on offense not named Bryce Young has been while acting as if the Texans assembled a Super Bowl team around Stroud. Yes the Texans did a better job than we did but CJ is elevating his offense around him and being a leader. No one can know what impact he would have here with this supporting cast. But I can tell you his arm talent would absolutely have to be accounted for by any defense we face. They would be playing us differently for sure despite our circumstances.
  2. I feel like we'll know something one way or another eventually. People acting like they know for sure this or that are going to end up with egg on their face. Everyone saw the Tepper's swooping in and taking over Bryce Young's proday while barely mustering a hand wave at Stroud's. They made it quite obvious.
  3. Urban got himself fired for being a general douchebag and a cooze hound in public despite being married. His rookie QB did not get him fired. The coping here is simply out of control.
  4. McCown gone already? So much for having conviction. So were they actually fired or did they basically say they no longer wanted any part of this? I'm getting the vibe we are going to hear some things in the coming months about how the Bryce Young selection went down and it won't be pretty.
  5. Our highest offensive output of the season is still from Andy Dalton with the same supporting cast.
  6. I don't know about Colbert and if he would be available. But I wholeheartedly agree we need real football people handling football operations and also being the face of our operations. Not the Tepper's.
  7. I had hope of this many months back before the Tepper's took over Bryce Young's proday and overshadowed Fitterer and Reich. Now? They are one and the same. I would be completely shocked if she bit the hand that gifted her said executive role.
  8. The OL is terrible. Icky has been a disappointment in particular. But I feel like if he could definitively make every throw we wouldn't be seeing so many pick sixes and errant airballs out of bounds.
  9. I'll be very interested to see if Reich fades into obscurity and takes all the things he knows with him or if he eventually pulls back the curtain some.
  10. I absolutely will commend him on his toughness. There is concern about arm strength. I mean we've been talking about his issues with the deep ball going back to his pro day. Back in training camp at fan fest between him Dalton and Corral he was by a significant margin the worst in deep throw drills. We chalked it up to chemistry and new offense. Beyond that his movements within the pocket and footwork are a big concern. He has become accustomed to habits that help give him time to see the field. Even then when those work to plan he has that odd hop with some of his throws. I have to be completely honest there were throws yesterday that Levis made that I simply cannot see Bryce Young making. That's what he's going to have to prove at this level. All we can do from here is wonder how much of the struggles of the OL are contributing. But if we have to surround him with a stellar supporting cast from top to bottom we lost that trade big time. You make a move like we did for a QB who will elevate their surroundings. I've seen nothing that would qualify.
  11. Scouts and GM's are wrong about prospects just the same as casual fans like us don't get it twisted. There are constantly openings for a reason.
  12. All we can go on are his actions. His response to Scott Fowler calling him out only solidifies what I've been saying. Anyone hoping for David Tepper to open tomorrow's press conference a changed and humbled man is going to be disappointed.
  13. There sure were quite a few people laughably wrong about CJ Stroud.
  14. I would fire every single Panthers scout and Scott Fitterer at this point. Our drafts have been ASS.
  15. We're hanging our hat on what people said before the draft now? Why not just start posting Alabama highlights too? Sure there will be people that will want the job. Doesn't mean they won't have their work cut out for them navigating Bryce's phsyical limitations.
  16. His ego has been our undoing and will continue because he can't help himself and truly thinks he can do no wrong. The fact that we have the lowest win percentage in all of sports since 2019 says it all. Yet still some people will login here and poo posts on his behalf lmao.
  17. He has absolutely no one associated with the team to speak through. He fired Reich he has to make sure it was him who announced it now he is going to hold a press conference and blovate like he has a plan out of this mess he's created. Unless he is going to say he is officially announcing he and his wife are removing themselves from the day to day operations and hiring an experienced NFL consultant to navigate this process I have no hope.
  18. Once again making himself the center of attention. Nothing is changing folks.
  19. Well I've been told there are many coaches in the NFL still high on Bryce Young so there should be a number of candidates willing to take on the job of fixing him. Sounds like wishful thinking but we'll see how it goes. But the only way any of this works if if you fire Fitterer. You can't force both a GM and a QB on a new head coach on top of having no first round pick and honestly expect it to end particularly well.
  20. Huh it's been announced Tabor is the interim. If anyone else wanted it they would have the job. Why are you even trying to argue about this? There are better topics to be a contrarian about.
  21. I agree with you about Evero. Our defense has performed better than I thought they would all things considered. I'm going to make this as clear as possible because while I admit I do partake in the occasional shitposting I do like Bryce Young just fine as a person. He's a good kid and easy to root for. But unfortunately that isn't enough to be a franchise QB. Look at Sam Darnold. One of the nicest guys anyone could meet no one with a bad word to say about him. All the physical tools too. Still not a franchise QB. My question about Bryce has nothing to do with the mental aspects I know people have piled on about the processing thanks to our idiotic decision makers putting an absurd level of hype on the kid in that area that was unrealistic from the jump. But I think that can be worked on and he can certainly clean up the footwork. The question is can he physically win at this level. If you don't want to hear it so be it but that's a question that is going to be asked frequently over the next several months. It's basically a guarantee Bryce will get the opportunity next season to showcase what he's learned and changed with a new offseason under his belt and hopefully an improved staff. But he's still going to be the same QB physically and those limitations aren't going anywhere. All we can do is hope to maximize what he does best. In the meantime down the line I think drafting a QB in 2025 still has to be under heavy consideration. That's for what's best for the team. At the end of the day that's what it's about. What's best for the team.
  22. If Tepper fires Fitterer and actually surrounds himself with football minds to navigate the process of hiring a coach and GM combo in unison and allows them to do their jobs without him or his wife inserting themselves into the middle of the day to day team operations I will feel much better about our future. But I think we'll see pigs fly before that.
  23. I assume he knows full well the odds of interim coaches succeeding in the NFL. He will get a legitimate shot sooner or later.
  24. We tried hiring a college coach and we just fired a retread. Roll the dice on an up and coming NFL coordinator like we should have done all along and be done with it. There will be options regardless of the curret volatility of the franchise. That's the only path forward.
