while i believe fit should have left with rhule as im a big believer as the GM and coach should be on the same schedule, it is absolutely stupid and illogical to judge fitterer off 2 preseason games.
-
I also think Muhammad and Kalil are not arguable. I also think bates is a lock but can see an argument against. I honestly cannot see one against the other 2. Kalil was a better lineman than gross and Muhammad had more of an impact than walls.
-
Time heals all wounds. Agreed I don’t expect him to ever make it but no doubt he’s the 2nd best defensive lineman this franchise ever had. The defense was just different when he was healthy. I will also say when they teased the original hall of honor selections back in 2019, he was in the video. Him and Chris gamble were the two surprises to me which is why I included them.

Just a breakdown of who is in, who is eligible, and who is deserving. 1. Mike McCormack - Inducted in 1997 2. Sam Mills - Inducted in 1998 3. Jake Delhomme - Inducted in 2019 4. Jordan Gross - Inducted in 2019 5. Steve Smith Sr. - Inducted in 2019 6. Wesley Walls - Inducted in 2019 David Tepper made a rule that you cannot be eligible until 2 years after retirement which would make Cam ineligible. In my opinion the following players should be locks and the 2 are definitely coming from this group. 1. Michael Bates 2. Thomas Davis Sr. 3. Ryan Kalil 4. Luke Kuechly 5. Muhsin Muhammad 6. Greg Olsen 7. Julius Peppers I can’t see how it’s not Luke and Pep, especially with Peppers likely entering the HOF this year. With that said it seems silly to me to not put TD and Olsen in, along with the other 4. other players I can see making it some day are Kasay, Minter, Rucker, CJ, Jenkins, Gamble, Stew, and Greene.
-
Jake is already in along with Mike McCormick, Sam Mills, Steve Smith, and Jordan Gross.
-
Looks like two players are joining the Hall of Honor. It’s about time.m gotta assume it’s Julius and Luke. Really should be more. Not sure the point in making Olsen, TD, Muhammad, and Kalil wait. Cam as well, but he’s not officially retired.

Good riddance. This is a good day for the Panthers. Get rid of everyone who was part of the Jerry Richardson stench. He was a mouthpiece for Richardson and the same for Tepper, but this time Tepper gave him some actual responsibilities. He was part of the Rhule search and was vocal on keeping wilks. people forget he was part of the group calling sexual harassment victims and so kindly reminding them of their NDA’s.

No one is telling Thomas Davis who the pick is. If they are they should be fired immediately. Also if someone actually did, then Davis is a moron for revealing it to everyone. My best guess is they used him like a pawn and he fell for it.

Panther re-sign DT Henry Anderson
NJPanthers12 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Joe person still is a joke. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a family member. -
person in his article making it seem like it was thielen or chark and the panthers were concerned with his injury history. also made it seem like not trade for hopkins or jeudy, referring to thielen as their big move at WR. very disappointing

He doesn’t know poo. He’s worse than David Newton.

That’s fine. I like elite players. It’s that mindset that almost got us stuck with the extremely likeable but even more underwhelming head coach Steve wilks. I saw one fool on twitter calling for Fitterers job if Bozeman left and discussion of a peaceful protest outside of BoA if he left. Only in Charlotte could there be Julius peppers and cam Newton detractors, but peaceful protests for Bradley Bozeman.
-
Is Bozeman a fine player? Sure. but my god he’s becoming the new Steve wilks around here. I’ve never seen an average center who was here one year garner so much conversation and excitement. The city of Charlotte accepts losing and celebrates mediocrity like no other sports city.

Will Kunkel says we're only "seriously interested" in three
NJPanthers12 replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Will kunkel knows nothing. Biggest clickbait beat guy in Charlotte. -
Good. Him joining the panthers was the worst think to ever happen to the panthers beat. It left us with buffoons like person and Newton who shouldn’t be the head beat options for XFL teams. hopefully he stays local and goes back to doing something similar to black and blue review, which was a pleasure to read. he was the best beat writer this franchise ever had. When he left, it kept me up at night worse than Steve Reed after the Cam press conference. Speaking of Steve reed, another one on the beat who brings absolutely nothing to the table.

Steve Smith: "I asked for a release."
NJPanthers12 replied to MechaZain's topic in Carolina Panthers
Gettleman has become beyond underrated. Only GM responsible for 3 straight playoff appearances. Just look at the giants foundation and it should be obvious how good he was. Daniel Jones, Saquon, Andrew Thomas, Dexter Lawrence, Leonard Williams, Xavier McKinney. i love the hate he got for letting Norman walk and drafting bradberry. Norman never replicated his 2015 season and Bradberry had been the better player from that point. He was a bust of a contract for Washington. Thomas Davis called out gettleman for not extending his contract. Hurney gave him 2 more years and his production dropped considerably. Greg Olsen called out gettleman for not extending his contract. Hurney swooped in and saved the day. Olsen never surpassed 600 yards or 4 touchdowns again. it was widely spoke about that the release of Steve smith was the best thing for cams development. He went on to win a MVP and win a nfc championship. i find it comical how much hate gettleman gets from panthers fans when the baseline for almost two decades had been journalist marty meatball Hurney. -
Scott Fitterer.... let's grade his drafts and FA signings
NJPanthers12 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
very solid write-up. biggest issues are that bozeman is no way a top 3 center in the league and as much as i cant stand the guy, rhule is 100% responsible for reddick. -
great get
-
we can all agree rhule is a joke, but he isnt our problem anymore. the real issue is, can david tepper do anything correctly? this an is incompetent and is completely incapable of doing anything. team president's, rock hill, matt rhule, etc. this guy is a disaster.

Frank Reich's Intro Presser - Today, Noon EST

I don’t know what some of you guys saw, but I’m back after that press conference. I’m all in after hearing coach reich speak. I’ve been a fan since day 1. Midway through year 2 of Rhule was the first time in my life where football sundays didn’t revolve around the panthers. Year 3 between Rhule and wilks, I was completely checked out. I would check my phone, but this is the first time ever I was going to friends houses to watch red zone. after today and hearing an actual adult in the room speak, I couldn’t be happier. You can tell he knows what he’s talking about. You can tell he’s a real football coach. Now I’ll always still be reserved with that moron owner in charge, but I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. they have to continue the positive progress and move heaven and earth to draft the QB they like. They cannot sit at 9 and settle for whoever falls or bring in another idiot like darnold, bridgewater, and mayfield. Go pair coach reich with the QB he likes the most. for the first time in a while, things are looking good In Charlotte. -

Welcome to the Charlotte sports media. Been tolerated and accepted since 1995. As bad as there is in the country -

Also the Charlotte media continues to be trash. How did a question about campen or tabor being retained not come up? How do you not ask about defensive philosophy and what he’s looking for in his coordinators. Instead we get multiple 1995 questions that couldn’t be less relevant. -

Takeaways from press conference: 1. David Tepper put on some weight and continues to be a coward avoiding taking questions from media 2. Frank reich was a home run hire and we are in good hands
