Alan "Blue Balls" Ball leaves Panther offer on table
NJPanthers12 replied to CubsWin's topic in Carolina Panthers
thats his way of saying, "i may have been scooped by a ravens insider on panther's news, but i will be the first to tell you when it is officially official." -
Hey man have you heard anything recent with nicks and the panthers?
-
i am very confused by the lack of interest in Nicks. he will come cheap. he was one of the top WR in football a few years back. he is only 26. he is better than cotchery. nothing but upside, if he fails he gets cut.

Huh do u know somethjng ?

OFFICIAL Greg Hardy appreciaton thread
NJPanthers12 replied to philw5289's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree about Luke, he is the superior player. But Hardy in my mind was on a different level 2 years ago. He literally took over games. A 27 year old DE with 16 sack potential is more valuable to me than a 32 year old outside linebacker. TD is an all time Panther great, but he is not in my opinion a more talented football player. -

I knew that was going to be the first thing said. Thomas Davis is not a better football player than Thomas Davis. Greg Hardy was all pro good 2 years ago. -

2nd best player on our D just walked out the door for free. Thank you for being entertaining and more importantly a special talent. -
i like them a lot. they got a good defense. hired a very good coach in rex, and stacked the offense for him with mccoy, harvin, and clay. rex just needs component qb play. he already showed he could bring a team to back to back afc title games with sanchez behind center.

they didn't sign jordan cameron, he went to Miami. but they did sign percy harvin.

welcome back from lurking mode

you are so wise
-
hmm only in the NFC South. Got it. Because the year before last year its not like the team went 12-4 and finished above an 11-5 Saints team while beating the 49ers on the road and New England at home.
-
serious question, how old are you? you are asking me what teams force their QBs to work with young rookie WR. every single WR ever drafted has been a young rookie forced onto the respective teams QB.
-
To be fair Gettleman flat out called these past 2 years rebuilding years. How many teams have you ever seen be in a rebuilding phase win back to back division titles.
-
I don't have the time to list every Wide Receiver ever drafted. Sorry
-
.
-
well the statement i called absurd was you claiming Gettleman is the only GM who would ever give his QB a rookie WR to be his number 1 option. And if the Panthers signed Hakeem Nicks I would be extremely happy with Benjamin/Nicks/Ginn Jr./Philly along with Olsen and Dickson.
-
this is an absurd statement.
-
if we sign Hakeem Nicks i find this offseason to be an incredible success.
-
i don't think you understand how it works. I'm quite confident David Gettleman's abilities weren't used to find top 5 free agents on the market that any fan can do on rotoworld. I am pretty sure that if David Gettlmean was the one scouting and signing Plaxico Burress in NY, then Ernie Accorsi orJerry Reese were just stealing money and were literally doing nothing. The General Manager signs and brings in players like Plaxico and Pierce. Gettleman's job in NY was to target players like Teddy WIlliams.
-
in no world is Nicks slower than Crabtree.
-
listen i am not even really trying to argue with you because i agree with most of your points. the people bitching and moaning about Randall Cobb and Mike Wallace need to go away. Personally I would have signed Torrey Smtih at the contract he got but I can fully understand why Gettleman didn't want to go there for a one trick pony. I just loved the fact that he won a Super Bowl, he is very young, and is extremely fast. But lets not pretend like Hakeem Nicks and Michael Crabtree wouldn't be a huge improvement over Jerricho Cotchery. I can understand the crowd who are upset about us not pursuing players like that.
