  1. I was working and missed the whole game unfortunately. Did Norman play okay? Was he rusty? Is he worth keeping around for next year as well to have a solid veteran presence? Also, how did Darnold play? His stats looked pretty good but I see others saying his fumble was bad and really not giving him much credit at all. Was it one of those games where he looked decent on paper but not to the eye? I haven't seen much praise for either so was wondering how they each looked yesterday. I hate I missed the game.
  2. I guess I am afraid to trust anyone after Rhule. I worry about an offensive guru type in terms of getting a Hackett or a Josh Mcdaniels. I realize you have to spin the wheel and hope for the best with the new coach to some degree but at the same time a major part of me wants a good veteran presence who has done it before and done it well like how Andy Reed went from Philly to KC. Somebody who is also very QB friendly and can develop some young guys yet who is also a damn good leader. I guess I want perfection and the perfect storm but I know that's asking a lot.
  3. Then why even watch at this point? Why would you even be a fan anymore with that mindset? Sounds like absolutely zero hope in your eyes. I would think you would have to have some sort of even a glimmer of hope to keep hanging in there. Personally, I don't believe that Tepper will meddle too much and will learn to stay away and let the guys who know what they are doing handle it. That's my hope and what I hang my hat on I guess.
  4. I am really sorry to hear of your family's loss. I know this isn't an easy time and I hope things improve for all of you soon. Keep your head up.
  5. I would pass on that if it were me making that decision. We would have to give us major resources to move up and I dont believe they are worth it.
  6. Offer nothing and draft a QB where we find ourselves drafting in order. Save those draft picks. Stroud and Young are not guaranteed no more than anyone else is.
  7. It must suck to be that damn good for that damn long while banging actresses and underwear models that you are widely hated by millions of guys. Is he a douche, yep. Is he damn good and a legend and bangs underwear models that make more money than him? Yep.
  8. Why is the ref'ing so piss poor in the NFL?
  9. I feel like Levis is worth a shot depending on where we are picking. He could turn out well, who knows. Its such a gamble and an unknown most of the time when a QB is picked anyhow. I feel like if a QB is drafted in a high round though we do need some sort of veteran presence there. If Darnold finishes strong and does not want to break the bank, i would consider signing him to be there as that veteran presence but of course that is a HUGE if Darnold finishes very strong and continues looking good. Even with that its still going on major hope that the drafted QB is the guy who can develop and become our guy as well as Darnold being capable of holding it down until then. Lots of hope and ifs in there I guess.
  10. I wouled not trade for him at all. We have done too much of that crap and not reaped any benefit. If a free agent okay give him a shot but STILL draft a QB!
  11. Broncos were fast as can be. Por guy took a little bit longer than I had hoped but better late than never I guess.
  12. Matt Rhule: "Nobody is as shitty of an NFL head coach as me, I dominate all in this department" Hackett:
  13. The wife that cheated on him? What is this story you speak of?
  14. Agreed, the shiny option isnt always the best and actually seems like it often times more than not turns out to be a disappointment. I dont think McDermont in Buffalo was a shiny hire and I remember thinking he probably wont do anything amazing in Buffalo but he has done quite a respectable job. I wonder often, could Wilks be our McDermont?
  15. I wish i knew how I felt. All I really know is Wilks seems like stability and a good guy. If he were teamed up with some great assistants and able to build his own roster I cant help but wonder what he could do. Either way he makes me wish we had him as our coach the entire time that Rhule was here. God what a waste having that ass-hat as our coach. I like Wilks and I wouldn't mind him as our guy for sure. If he can do this with what he has, it makes me wonder what he could do with some time to build out his roster and his coaching staff.
  16. Damn, was that only one year in Denver or....? I know a ton of people wanted him here. See, this is what scares me about hiring an offensive guru type guy. WE either get a Sean McVay or we get a Josh Mcdaniels/Hackett type. Wonder what odds are on getting a successful guy or a failure, 50/50?
  17. Well we apparently have the exact same opinion. I would love him to turn out to be a franchise QB but I doubt odds are in that favor with how everything started with him. He has the physical tools it totally appears but not sure if he has been ruined or just never had it all the way to be a great starter in the NFL. I too would sit back and evaluate then daft another QB 2023 and hope someone in this entire group proves to have a great future as the teams QB to lead us to a Super Bowl trophy. My bet is worst case scenario Darnold can make a hell of a decent backup if he continues to show some growth and trend upward.
  18. I don't know how I feel about it. I like Wilks but one of those offensive guru guys seem nice too. The problem is finding one who is a good coordinator but isn't an absolute turd of a head coach like some of the gurus have been. It's not easy finding a Sean Mcvay. Hell I would love a Sean McDermont even. Wasn't he a defensive coach that has turned into a damn good head coach? What if Wilks is a Sean McDermont? How would the need an offensive guy supporters feel about him then? Also, how do we know he isn't necessarily a defensive minded coach like McDermont who becomes a very good head coach with the chance? So may options and so much confusion with me right now. Tough decisions ahead.
  19. Brady is a douche of the highest degree of nozzles but I don't wish physical harm on the guy or to be "taken out on a stretcher" as some moron just responded in this thread. It's a game asshole. Did he personally do something to your family to wish him taken out on a stretcher? This isnt a reply to the original poster as I think he means he wants to see him eliminated out of playoff contention and retire thus ending his career. Whoever said they want him to exit on a stretcher, grow up you puke.
  20. I think Jalen may have just fully developed and may be an example of a very good franchise QB playing as such and we could see him doing that for many years to come. Sure wish we had him but I agree, not with a coach like Rhule but with a bad ass coach who can continue to pull out the very best that extremely talented QB has inside himself.
  21. It's funny I say "you again?" everytime I see one of your posts as well so we have that in common and will be chummy buddies before we know it! Oh okay so one pro Darnold person exists. I guess that one person makes up the army of Darnold extremists then. In your way of thinking how you present yourself to anybody that does not fully agree with you on everything I'm sure I am an extremist as well since I say he should start rest of the way to see if he is worthy of being a bridge to a new rookie QB or a decent backup for the future right? Does that classify me as an extremist also? I actually want to know now as you have me curious Mr Frank. What do you feel we should do with Darnold the rest of the way and beyond? I'm for keeping PJ and Darnold for at least backups. Also keeping Corral to see what he has in him next preseason and bringing in a rookie. We go in camp with 4 guys and probably keep three so one will have to be cut and from there I have no idea as at bare minimum I at least think Darnold and PJ could be decent backups. Probably PJ as a cheaper backup so it may give him an edge there. That's of course if Darnold hasn't had some amazing turn around change and development all of a sudden and has not gotten it all put together to be a dominant starter in the NFL but odds are against that I realize hence why I think if he will sign for a cheaper price at least carry him into training camp next season to further look while also starting him last couple games to further evaluate but open the play book up and let's see if he has grown and developed any where he can play under some pressure. That's all I know to do currently but I do realize we should probably bring in another rookie QB to see if we can hit on one.
  22. Darnold extremists? Do they exist? Or could we say people tagged by you as "Darnold extremists" are merely people pleasantly surprised that his play went up a little and want to see what he does the last few games of the season to decide whether or not he is worthy of signing as a bride guy for a rookie or signing as a reliable backup? I don't think I have seen even one "Darnold extremist" on this board yet but we can call anybody who's opinions may differ from yours slightly an "extremist" to further your narrative if you like I guess.
  23. Is he not allowed to ask a question on aessage board? Is this not what a fan message board is about? Could someone not say your response to anyone at all in the history of this board who ever had a question?
