If I was a GM I would probably be fired within a couple years as I would probably be too much of a risk taker. I would end up taking a chance on this guy. I get a strong feeling he will either be boom or bust and nothing in between but if he checked out okay in an interview and seemed to have a good attitude and willingness to be coached I would take that chance.

If this is all a plan to tarnish his name they did quite a solid job so far but I still don't understand how a group that large could concoct such a scheme with that many people involved and no investigator has been able to out at least someone yet as being full of poo. Whether actually guilty or not I think we all know how this will go. In the end people will be paid off and nobody will be in trouble. Once past all of this he will get his trade and he will play on. Nobody will ever actually know the truth except the parties involved but they will get their settlements and will all be forgotten. Who knows what if anything at all actually happened but I'm willing to bet even if guilty it will all be gone with some cash payments. Money makes you prone to every scam out there but it can also get you out of almost anything.

Actually we have a fairly decent guy who flashed the past couple seasons and went to IR last year but always looked decent when we have him opportunities. I don't know if he is durable enough but in the words of was it Rivera or Gettleman "The answer may be on the roster".

Realistically what round will he now go in after that pro day? 6th at best? Lots of potential there if he interviews okay. How high would you guys be willing to go? A 5th?

I would take Sewell before I would Pitts. If all QB's with some solid potential gone in first 4 picks I would say get a bad ass offensive tackle who sounds like he may be very good.

He was a very solid and capable backup. I don't see how he could ever be called a scrub?

If all the drama is not true i would LOVE it if he were a Panther but not for that huge high price the Texans will want. If there was some chance we could get him for one first rounder I would take him in a heartbeat as he is one very solid QB.

Yeah you may know one of the guys who seems to be. He is usually mad about something funny anyhow but it brings me a chuckle or two upon reading his half drunken angry rants on here over the years so all good.

It is actually a decent signing if some are able to pull their heads from their flabby posteriors and forgive the fact that the guy was born white. Color aside which has absolutely NOTHING to do with the subject at hand to begin with, he is on a cheap deal, made a solid difference last year with his former team, and still relatively young.

Did his career take a major downward swing lately? Might be time to change up agents.

And give up first round draft choices for 3-4 years as well as an impact player? Id say if we do that deal we are the ones who will be "run over" by far. Seriously, how do you think they are going to build around the loss of so many draft picks, an impact player and his big ass contract? If you want a recipe for guaranteed failure this is it. But at least we will have a solid QB right?
