He never got a fair shake with play time last season and had talent it seemed but this will certainly hurt his chances now. What a moron.

Running QBs don’t win Superb Owls
YourLastThought replied to Lets go get it Canes's topic in Carolina Panthers
I will take a QB who can run like the wind but who can stand in the pocket and pass an amazingly accurate ball with ease as well. I guess anybody would for that matter but a guy who can do both at the top of their game makes for one bad ass awesome QB -
For whatever reason I am not overly excited at the thought of us giving up a whole lot for Kyler Murray. He is good but something tells me they want a ton for him and I haven't totally dug his attitude lately.

Wouldn't be a huddle thread without someone trying to push their political agenda down everyone else's throat tinderbox style. Do you feel better now hopefully? -
Panthers hold prelim talks with Mayfield reps

Ehhh, not excited and don't want. He is not worth giving up much for at all in my opinion. -
Thoughts on putting Cam behind this line?
YourLastThought replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't want to sound too goofy and emotional but seeing my now 12 year old grow up from just a tiny little guy screaming for Cam on the TV and pretending to be him in the yard from such a young age it absolutely made me view him as part of my family and feel genuine love for the guy. To see him week in and week out start the trend of giving footballs to kids after TD's in the stadium and then see it almost vanish when he was shown the door may me realize how much of a powerful good loving culture he brought to the team and the city of Charlotte. To watch him grow from someone who would get frustrated at himself and down on himself when he had a rough game his first couple years to a man who was a full fledged leader was also very special to watch for me personally. Out of every player I have ever rooted for and got behind in the history of this franchise I never felt like I put more emotion and more love behind than Cam so it's been hard to say goodbye in my mind. He is still my son's favorite athlete and still talked about at least a few times per week. I just can't believe how much of an affect he had on my child and myself for that matter while also being such a good fella off the field. It's hard to explain for me I guess but he was more to my family than just a player. -
Thoughts on putting Cam behind this line?
YourLastThought replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not sure about the other guy but I can tell you what I've seen from him as a coach. So far in his career I've seen ineptness and someone who looks lost as well as overmatched week in and week out. I've also seen extreme ego to the point that I don't see how this combined with his high level narcissistic personality that any player on the roster could get behind him or even believe in him. That's about all our leader Rhule has shown me personally. -

Unfortunately you are probably right. It's hard for me to accept that because Cam holds a special place in my heart for how much he sacrificed his body for the team and how nice a guy he is off the field. I see where you are coming from and almost feel as if I'm backstabbing him admitting that he isnt what he once was and unfortunately probably does need to retire as a Panther and move on to using that electric personality in the booth or even consider coaching to keep busy. The guy has charisma for days and grew into a quality leader so he has much he could do after football but unfortunately yes I agree he is probably done and we have to move forward as much as it pains me to say. -
Falcons burned a bridge. Are trying to trade Matty Water.

Wonder what you can get for a QB who doesn't have what he once did, sometimes craps his pants on the field and is potentially pissed off at his franchise? -
I would take Minshew over Darnold, or Jimmy G but I would not pay a high price for Minshew. Problem is we have a ton tied up in Darnold this year and I have a bad feeling he isn't even able to be traded because absolutely nobody is going to want him based upon his tape which makes me think we are stuck with and rolling with Sam. If it were me, I would take Minshew on a simple trade where we don't give much of anything for him at all and have him with Darnold backing him up for a season till we can find a future QB to draft and get rid of Darnold after this season. Minshew has proven he can be a decent backup I think and then it gives him a year or two if we draft a rookie to play and prove he could actually be a starter. I don't think Minshew would light the world on fire but seems to be best of what we could have this year because I am not sold on any of the QB's being worth the 6th pick and believe we should wait til next season to move on a top QB in the draft.

I just don't see him having a ton of potential for a trade of even close to fair compensation if we are being compensated for his true ability when he is actually healthy due to his big contract and his injury history the past two seasons. When healthy the guy is phenomenal but unfortunately he hasn't proved he can stay healthy the past couple seasons so I don't think there is a team out there who would throw a first at us for him and doubtful even a second. Great player when healthy but past two years I think his value and stock has greatly dropped to where most even on the huddle would agree that they believe he will probably have some sort of injury issue this season as well. He started out with very limited injuries but it's hit him hard past two season and I think it worries us and teams that this is now the new norm each season unfortunately. He has been way over used at the start of his career and also way over used in college if memory serves correct. History shows us that breaks RB's down pretty fast and I hope this isn't the case with CMC but I can't help but worry that this is.

OFFICIAL WE HATE TEPPER THREAD
YourLastThought replied to Lets go get it Canes's topic in Carolina Panthers
I guess we are forced to live off hope that if Rhule can get his goofy ass fired next season Tepper will learn his lesson and let the real football guys control the organization. Maybe the guy can put his ego aside and let his high level intelligence take over to see that he needs to step off back into the shadows and let those who know what they are doing do their jobs. Tepper not only meddles some yet he gave all the power to the one idiot coach he should not have. How in the hell could Rhule come from college and Tepper believe he could give him Bill Bellicheck type control with the most limited pro resume one could have? Just dumb move after dumb move here. I fully believe that Rhule will coach his way right out of a job this season because he just can't coach at a pro level and I have to run off hope that then Tepper will start making some wise decisions on stepping away based on his damn analytics that he does not know what the hell he is doing. You don't even need billionaire analytics for that in all honesty as the proof is plain as day. Hopefully he wishes up BIG TIME. -
I feel like Rhule needs stripped of any rights to do any more GM like duties and he needs to either sink or swim with Sam due to his poor history with QB's since the day Tepper regretfully signed on this goof ball coach. 2023 we could end up with a new quality coach and a very solid young QB of we play our cards well and just let Sam go be Sam.
-
But is he a tease or does he actually round third base is my biggest concern with Jimmy G. For that kind of pick given up for him, I would need him not only be an attractive man but to also put out if you know what I mean.
-
If Darnold was all Rhule claimed he could be then Rhule needs to prosper or go down with the ship attached to Darnold next season. They picked up his option so he needs to roll with Sam. I admit I am biased because I want to watch Rhule be fired and this in my opinion is the best way.
-
Or we could save some of that money and roll it into next year for more cap space to impress and lure the next coach after Rhule poo's the bed one last season.
-
Oh I agree, he is a cutie.

Baker Mayfield Requests Trade from Browns + UPDATE
YourLastThought replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Carolina Panthers
Please god not Banker Mayflower. Banker Mayflower may be a slight upgrade from Darnold but it's merely like getting hit in the cheek with dog poo instead of in the mouth. It still doesn't end well and stinks anyhow. -
-
Oh god I forgot he is giving some sort of symposium on poo coaching at Florida isn't he! Whoever it was that hired this clown to come down and speak should be fired as well. What in the absolute hell were they thinking?
-
I blame that on Rhule too. He should have already had that list and any other ladies of the night ready for Deshaun. Fire his ass yesterday please.
-
Me a bitch? Because I don't share your views on the perv should have been our QB? Somebody is still upset at me from earlier. I own real estate in that numbskull ass head of yours.
