I love seeing updates on past players/coaches etc with the organization as I am always hoping they are doing well at wherever life has taken them. Many I often wonder how they are as I never see any updates at all and am often left curious how life is going for them and what they are involved in now. With that said, Rhule I wish nothing but the best and hope everything works out great for him but he is one in which im less interested in potentially I guess because he is so new to having just left the organization maybe. He definitely belongs in college at most but something tells me in future years if he builds his name back that he may end up back in the NFL again. I have a feeling he wont be able to stay away and will want to try his hand at it allover again and some team will give him a shot as a coordinator then a head coach.

I keep seeing comments in this thread and in others from people wanting us to lose each week and that has been that way since like week 4 maybe. I am curious to know but what is it like to watch your favorite NFL team on a Sunday and root against them? As I watched the game last week I was imagining certain Panthers fans sitting on their couches or at the stadium getting angry every time they make a good play or score. It almost feels like bizarro world or something. Like it or not this team will win enough games that we are NOT getting the first or second pick and that is almost a given. There are potential issues and drawbacks with those first two QB's anyhow so who cares where we finish? What player do you guys that get pissed when we win and get angry at your own team when we do well want exactly? Who is this perfect player you all are wanting so badly that you become a hater of your own team each week and want to see us destroyed by every team we play? Who is this franchise saving player you all want?

Glad he is finding work somewhere. I dont know how in their right mind any team beyond a lower rated small high school program in the middle of nowhere would want Rhule as their coach but more power to him on his ability to sell a ketchup popsicle to any person wearing white gloves. He must talk one heck of a game in an interview is all I can guess. Glad he is anywhere but here. I would prefer a team I hate like the Saints hire him but whatever as long as he is far away from here along with that "process" of his.

I don't know much about him but is Jalen Hurts pretty good? I know he struggled and took his lumps his first year like any QB would but I'm guessing the guy is pretty decent now? If so that's one heck of a pick up as I know he wasn't some number one or number two overall pick like so many here feel we must have in order to get a successful franchise QB of the future.

This site has lots of douche holes and the internet as a whole if you have never noticed before. Lots of double chinned couch GM's and smart asses who think they have every answer from their living room. It's almost like being an obese pie eating loud mouth on a message board somehow qualifies some people as being experts and legends in their own living rooms.

Apparently you and I are on the same page. I am blown away by how many assume those two are a guaranteed sure thing just because they will go 1 or 2 overall. I don't buy it at all and think everyone is nuts. I don't care if we win though also as I believe just as a good a prospect QB could be found later but would be nice to have a higher pick and trade back for some great extra picks.

How is it that you know Stroud or Young will be such a success if we get the first couple picks?

I agree with much of what you are saying as far as the stadium looking pathetic with all the whine and cheese punks as well as our stretch of sucking with one or so good years then suck for years. I also agree with your saying we need to take a big chance on a big QB or something like that. We are totally in the same page there as well. The only area we don't probably agree on is the tanking. I don't necessarily want to lose every game on purpose and sit there rooting against our team while getting angry when we win. That's depressing to me. Jacksonville did not intentionally but technically by their records tanked many seasons with many 1 or second overall picks and still sucks. There are good QB's that could be found outside the top there picks I truly believe. The rest of it I'm totally with you and see exactly what you are trying to say. Maybe we take a chance on a big proven QB who could be had for a high draft pick or something to that degree? Something needs to be done as our philosophy has not been working or successful for a number of years now outside an outlier like 2015. I'm not onboard with tanking but I am on board with taking a serious chance on making a drastic aggressive move to obtain some sort of franchise difference maker to keep us competitive for years to come.

Ehhh I don't see it as a HUGE screw up. If he can eventually develop as a QB who is a threat to throw as well then yes but right now I wouldn't be too impressed if we had him. Perhaps I was just spoilee with our running QB (Cam) who in his prime could throw as well.

You know there were people that thought trading CMC would be a bad idea yet poo on nobody that did correct? The tradr has definitely worked out so far and I was a person who was afraid of trading him as well as did not really want to be sue of him being a good guy and a team leader or at least someone who led by example. I was also one who didn't want Cam gone and Smith cut years prior as well but I never poo on anyone who did. I won't deny that I say around wondering how stupid Rhule and company were in that they had other capable backs yet refused to use them. I can only imagine how things possibly could have been had they used Foreman and CMC together as a two headed attack. I can only imagine how it would have been to have had Foreman in the backfield with CMC in the spot of well. These are all things real coaches could have come up with but we had guys running the team with no imagination and apparently no functional brain cells. The advantage of trading CMC is definitely the cap relief and that helps but if that were the goal, why the hell did we sign him to taht big a contract in the first place? In my opinion he should have still gotten carries but less than a workhorse hard running power back like Foreman and CMC should have moved to lots of slot receiver and we would have benefitted greatly but we would have still had that huge conytact so there are advantages and disadvantages both ways. I will say however that trading him certainly sparked an opportunity for others to step up and many players have emerged with inevitable talent which we didn't think we had with CMC not here. Again not his fault though as that stupidity of holding guys down rest on the worst coach I have ever witnessed coach in Matt Rhule and many of his disciples. There are still more disciples to clean hosue with at seasons end and may be a few to hang on to but we have to whipe the memory of that idiot away completely. Trading CMC helped in some awesome ways with other players stepping up and that has been great but it also makes me wonder what if we had used CMC differently and gave room to all our others guys to step up too? In the end though potentially Anderson and CMC had to go to see some others step up.

So what exactly should he have went to prison for? I understand disciplinary action but prison, I don't know what he did to merit prison. Verbal sexual harassment and saying racist comments is what we know of correct? Did he do something terrible that I am not aware of?

So it appears the fan base is not fully taken up by tankers. It was interesting to find this thread and see there are others who don't believe Stroud or Young are definite NFL success stories and are okay with not losing every game on purpose to draft one of them. I thought I was the only one who just wants to see the team improve this season and feels like we can still find a very solid QB to help run this team if that is our pick.

I would start all three guys a little the rest of the way just to evaluate but that does not bode well for Wilks future doing that as im sure he would like to be signed on as our permanent coach.

I would have traded him for that haul in a second. He will come due to be paid and we are going to have to WAY overpay him more than he is worth to keep him at which time we may then decide to let him walk and we get nothing. He is simply not worth one of the highest paid DE salaries in the league simple as that. Unless he comes out next year setting record sacks but I think we all know he is not going to do that.

Im going and hoping to cheer on a win. I realize that kind of thing will get you called "retarded" or a "traitor" if you cheer on our Panthers this year and aren't rooting against them then complaining on the forums when we get a victory the next day but I am going to just do my own thing and enjoy however many wins we get and hope wherever we draft at that the pick develops and becomes a great player for us.

Okay, I see I did duck around the entire issue and it got very ducked up! Yeah, I can't stand Payton but I would take him and learn to like him because the guy is a damn good coach. Just hide the keys to the medicine cabinet so that twisted pill head does not steal all the pain pills.

I would say we are slightly better at this particular moment in time. Not by much but overall we have to be just slightly in a better position because we don't have Matt "I crapped my pants" Ryan on the payroll for next season. That alone gives us the advantage.
