  1. Yeah this is my thoughts exactly and really what I was getting at without putting my own opinion in there....Cam taking it upon himself to single handedly making sure it doesn't die.
  2. Yes I've heard of Keep Pounding. Wtf is wrong with you. I meant is Cam Newton ending every interview with Keep Pounding new because I don't recall that and I think he's trying to make a statement. Was my wording seriously that poor?
  3. I've seen 3 interviews now with Cam since joining the Panthers - his introductory press conference, post game on the field, and after the game press conference. In all three he ended the interview with "Keep Pounding". Is this new? Is he trying to make a point? Or has he always ended his interviews with that phrase?
  4. If you'd like to see it again. Also love the "1st down" gesture he did there. I know it's not unique to Cam Newton, but he sure did it consistently it always makes me think of him. Moore does it often as well, but not as cleanly as Cam does it.
  5. Wasn't he suppose to be Chinn-lite or something like that?
  6. Catsfan69 is the first person I ever put on ignore. No regrets.
  7. No, saw Chinn a lot. He wears 21. Noticed him on the field often. I literally never saw 9 on the field ever except the play he got hurt. Apparently I was overlooking him though which is a good thing because I couldn't think of a reason he'd not be playing.
  8. I saw the play where he may have injured his hand or wrist, but before that play I don't remember seeing him. Whenever I'd look for him, never saw his number. Saw Henderson played quite a bit. Was it me just overlooking him constantly or was he not out there most plays? I assume he did not play at all post injury, but I stopped looking for him after the injury.
  9. Dude is . I'm not gonna say best Panthers kicker ever yet. Gano definitely had his moments and same with Kasay. What a strange road to get to Zane though.
  10. This game was a lot like the Saints game; opponent missing key pieces, but also the media universally picked against us.
  11. This thread was always a garbage take. We traded a 3rd for him. He wasn't necessarily meant to be a starter right away. That was said from the beginning. The guy wasn't worth the draft position, but thankfully that's not what we paid for him. This thread is really a year too early.
  12. Welcome back Cam! What a way to start the new Cam era.
  13. Did he put something out in the universe when he did this poo in our stadium?
  14. With a "just okay" offense, we can be competitive in every game left, even the Bucs, though I doubt we win either of those games unless they sit starters. I think if they offense is average we win against the Saints and possibly the Bills. I know it's weird and maybe flukey, but they did lose to the jags. It's really hard to predict anything right now though because we just don't know what the offense will look like with Cam under center. I'm confident better than Darnold, but how much is the question.
  15. I think it depends on Cam. Rhule didn't rule it out at all, but of course you have to take what he says in pressers with a grain of salt. I'd say it's not impossible but unlikely.
  16. Why does someone need to delete their IG, FB, whatever to focus on something else? I just don't get that sentiment, unless it's an addiction problem. Like, he can't learn the playbook because he cannot physically stop himself from scrolling all day and night. Idk, just don't see how social media is a distraction unless you are literally on it 24/7. He's not posting to the 'gram while on the sideline. Anyways @WarPanthers89, I don't necessarily mean to direct this diatribe at you, it's just I've seen things like this said about distractions or whatever in different places and in regards to different subjects, and it's never really made sense to me so I wanted to ramble on about that subject.
  17. Almost feel bad for the Cardinals. Midweek and now they have to prepare for Cam eFing Newton instead of some JAG. I bet their DC is shittting himself right about now.
  18. Welcome home. Now go win us some games!
  19. I'm not sure if it's the system so to speak. Teddy moved the ball fine. It was mostly dump offs, but it worked and we obviously racked up yardage. Red zone was about 100% of the problem and without TD's, that will kill a QBs rating and screws up the TD/int ratio that factors in and QB's are often judged off of. I think it may have been more the play calling. The only thing that does give me pause however is the longer throws. He seems to have no issues this year compared to last year. I am not sure what to think of that. Looking at stats now though, his air yards is slightly higher this year, but his QBR is actually quite a bit lower. TD's is significantly higher, but otherwise his stats are all very, very similar this year to last. Outside of TD's, he definitely looks better this year, but statwise, only somewhat. tldr - So after all those words, I think it's not the system, just was the play calling or play design in the red zone.
