Taking the high road in public is the right thing to do, and doesn't matter at all. Behind closed doors, people in the building knows what's what. Maybe that is Fitterer, maybe it's Rhule, maybe it's Tepper making the picks. Everyone in those meetings knows who was making each pick, where there were disagreements and when people deferred and who was overruled entirely. They all know, and there is absolutely 0 reason to air whatever laundry at a press conference. Good leaders take responsibilty. They don't throw people under the bus in public.

We had this same situation 2 or 3 years ago. They will get swapped out for other positions.
-
Well that answers my second question from the other thread. It also says that 32 of 32 teams also think our depth was trash.
-
I am not feeling whelmed. Also curious which if any of our cuts were picked up by someone else. I haven't seen anything.
-
He's listed as nickel on the "official" depth chart, not safety. So technically a CB.
-
The initial 53 is perplexing but I'm not butt hurt over the guys we cut. They were mostly all trash. But my god the lack of CB's and Dline is concerning. I'm sure we will fill out the roster properly, but will these new guys be any better than what we had?

Too bad about Zonovan Knight. The kid is the son of one of Julius Peppers friends from back in Bailey, NC.
-
Possibly. Based on the current (meaningless) depth chart, he is way, way down on the list of LB's. I've seen good things from him last year and in preseason, I'm just not sure on his consistency. Considering he is going into year 2, I'd think they would keep him, give him a year under the new coaching staff and one more offseason.
-
His wording was weird... He basically said Henderson+5th rounder = shitty TE + 3rd rounder. Nothing about this trade screams "worst trade of all time". The trade was meh at worst.
-
Why? He's gonna get hit eventually. Things are going to go south sometimes and he needs to be able to cope when it does. Preseason seems like a better time to put your starting QB in bad situations than waiting for it to actually happen. Just like children, players shouldn't be coddled. Let them experience what the real world is like a little bit before the poo is real. I know you are worried about injuries, but you really shouldn't. That poo is gonna happen, so why worry about it? Some time BY is going to get hurt and is going to miss games, just like every other starting QB. 22 of 32 starting QB's missed at least 1 game in the regular season last year.

PFF Grades From Lions v Panthers Preseason Week 3
Luciu5 replied to Mr Mojo Risin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I feel for Matt Corral. I feel he did well in the pocket, good decision making, good scramble ability, but his accuracy is so goddamn awful. If he could just put the ball in the same zip code as his receivers he wouldn't be a bad qb. -
Official Lions at Panthers damn it's hot out GameDay thread
Luciu5 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I missed the first game. Forgot about the second game until midway through the second quarter. So I haven't seen starters play at all except some clips of individual plays. This time I got smart and set an alarm. -
Shaq looked bad here. Also, JT also made comments nonchantly, regarding the offense, "game planning", "scheming". Definitely sounds to me as if some the plays aren't just vanilla preseason stuff from the Giants, but JT doesn't really come across like that's odd for preseason either.

Yeah, the point is to be negative for the sake of being negative. Subject matter or context doesn't matter. Those people probably have a really miserable life and just need a hug.
-
This was my thought exactly. Maybe slow down when pissing on your team and you wouldn't get it all over your face.
-
This is going to happen anyway. There are more than a few out there who will absolutely have a field day if he has bad day. And if Bryce gets injured at some point, it will be a meltdown from those same people. If Stroud ends the season as the better QB, you don't think panthersGOATfan isn't going to come back in some iteration? I mean, there are already people saying Bryce needs to be basically perfect based on what we spent to trade up for him, and anything less than a record setting performance will be considered a failure.

fact a thing that is known or proved to be true. "he ignores some historical and economic facts" It's not a fact until alternate timelines is proven to be a thing that exists and we are able to travel between them. Something that didn't happen in reality can never be a "fact" because it cannot be proven. The word you are looking for is "belief."

No it was a random number; just an example to get my point across. Wasn't really saying anything about a specific player. Same can be said for a QB that throws for 2000 yards. Hard to have a bunch of receivers with 1000 yards seasons when the QB only completes 2000 yards worth. The point: A good QB will elevate his receivers and they will look better on paper. A bad QB is going to bring the receivers down to his level.
-
Tbh, that's kinda how the NFL works. You can't have a QB throw for 5000 yards without your pass catchers also getting 5000 yards. A good QB makes their skill positions look better, and vice versa.

You don't know how to make dirty rice or what's in it, huh? I agree it shouldn't be greasy though. Someone missing 1 small step in the process.

I read somewhere or heard somewhere, may have been on Sirius, that coaching = 30, 40%. Basically a good coach will have 30% more points per game or 30% more wins vs same team with a bad coach. Something along those lines.

I tried to sort out that sentence, with more commas then should be in sentence when there is no list involved. Anyway, this section here needs quantified, because I'm reading as "Fans" are the subject of this sentence. Is that correct? As in, "Fan's belief that things will be different here...." If that is the case, I'm super curious about how Fan's believing something leads to....well, anything tbh. Are you saying hopeful fans is how we ended up with Darnold, and if we were just less optimistic we would have had Mahomes? Is this like a metaphysical thing or something to do with essential oils maybe? I'm just so confused.

Isn't that fairly common? Idk about an every year thing, but I thought first game of the season being a repeat of the super bowl happens very often.
