  1. This oline is garbage. Should just put 4 more receivers on the field. Blockers aren't doing anything anyways.
  2. Sam needs to step up now. The D is doing their part today.
  3. Here's exactly what I'm talking about.
  4. I wonder if there is some paranoia thrown in there too. I don't know if his ball placement deep is just terribad or he's scared to thrown it any closer. We've had a number of times this year where the receiver had a step or half a step on the defender but the ball was a few yards out of reach. Too scared to come up a yard short and it be a pick?
  5. Eh, I'm a bit disappointed when they trotted 3 TE's and however many olineman, he couldn't put larger bodies on the field. All I can think of is a lack of personnel to handle jumbo packages??? I know Yeet was out, but damn put Brown, Jones, Roy, Fox all on the field at once with some LB's that can cover the TE's. I guess I just don't get the whole not being prepared for that. I understand not practicing that, but damn at least through more weight at the problem.
  6. I think this says it best. Who is our defense, last week's defense or the previous three? I don't think we can win in a shoot out. If we return to form this week, it will probably relieve a lot of worry.
  7. You poo'd me for a dumb senseless comment in a thread full of dumb senseless comments. K.
  8. I expect a win every week. We have the skill to win this game easily. If the players show up, we will win.
  9. Just to be clear, I figured out who they were talking about before posting this. I know that wasn't obvious, but I was more making fun of the media. There is a Field Yates tweet out there with this same list, btw. Probably where the graphic was created from.
  10. Those reporters know Cam Newton is a sensitive subject. I think that it was more of a fishing question than you give it credit for. Whether he's talked to Cam in the last 24 hours or not, I think his answer was wise.
  11. It's also a great way to manage cap space, when your backups are all on rookie deals under development. When contract time comes, they will either be ready to be starters (or all ready be starting) or they get replaced by more rookie contracts.
  12. I liked the questions "have you talked to Cam Newton? What does he think or have to say about the Panthers?"
  13. The front office has budget for the future. Fitterer said we are financially sound for the next few years. They have a plan in mind, most likely broken down by position group.
  14. He had 4 TD's all last year. Already has 3 this year.
  15. The only discord is from morons who can't grasp the concept that there haven't been olineman available for trade. Regarding the thread, yes this move was a no brainer. Win win move.
  16. I think this is what it is. He's at the level of 3rd round pick, not a top 10 pick. I don't think we can count on CJ being a shutdown corner, at least this year which is obviously fine considering what we traded for him. I did have my hopes up that he could "replace" Horn asap and our defense not miss a beat. I don't blame anything in Dallas on him, btw. He was only in the system for a few days and I really don't blame him for not being up to speed. Which all of this is exactly what I was getting at in my original post. CJ's not a top 10 pick talent level right now, he's developmental.
  17. You know I'm less concerned about Jackson and more questioning what does this move say about CJ? He was a top 10 pick a year ago and should be a high end CB within a few weeks in our system, just like Horn. I'm hoping this was just a good deal and not really reflective of anyone in particular on our roster.
  18. We might do this. Rhule made a comment...stopped mid sentence...sounded like Chinn is moving to LB, at least while Shaq is out. Fitt made a comment about moving CBs around. Basically get great players and figure out where to use them later.
  19. To me, if we win against the Eagles, Vikings, and Patriots, then we are a playoff team. Those teams should all be .500 teams by the end of the year I think. If we are better than that tier, then we are likely going to the playoffs. We go on a run the next few weeks, then I can see us finishing 10-12 wins.
  20. I'm curious if they really feel like they are legit or if they are drinking their own koolaid. Dallas certainly changed my perspective a bit, and I've put the kool-aid down for now. I still think we can make a run at the playoffs, but I expect it to be a 1 and done deal. Great feeling to get to the post season, but not actually make any noise. Based on the Dallas game, we can't hang with the best if we can't play a complete game.
  21. Patriots had $54,000 in cap space. They now have over 5 million. Gilmore was costing them $400,000 a week to sit on the bench. Beyond that, Gilmore lives in Rock Hill. From what I've seen hes ok playing out the year for us and negotiating after the year or looking at FA then. This is more of a prove it chance for him, while also being able to live at home. I think his agent wasn't seeing offers he wanted since hes been injured for a while now.
  22. Darnold said he threw it a second too early. If he had waited one more second Robby would have been open. I saw the clip on twitter, and yeah he's right. It would have been a TD if he had waited one more second to throw, instead it went straight at the CB in the passing lane.
  23. I think they would rather sign the guys we have. It's more likely Donte gets paid over us paying a guy on the wrong side of 30.
