The hit by the second guy broke it up. Robbie had it until he got hit. If he had an another second, he would have had it secured. It was a good play by the defender. A bigger receiver probably could have held on, but Robbie isn't really a contested catch kinda receiver.

I think we got 2 sacks.

Is there a list Sam Darnold isn't on the bottom of??????? In all seriousness though, this list doesn't say a lot, but it does show which teams are carried by their offense (QB).
-
McAdoo said it's important to evaluate players in the preseason games, and not scheme so being as vanilla as possible is important so your scheme isn't getting guys open or whatever.

LOL. Everyone is celebrating and at :14 he's still on the ground.

It's not an argument. It was a yes or no question. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less. I didn't even intend to reply to your response...except your response was a question.

PJ Walker is 2-0 as a starter. Is PJ a better backup QB than Sam Darnold?
-
We were 11-5 in 2017. We've had 4 losing seasons straight. 4 = 10? Also, 1997-2002 was a pretty bad run. Best season in there was 8-8. Are we worse off now then we were in that stretch? Maybe. But it's definitely haven't been no decade of losing. Put down the pipe bro. Or get a watch or something.

This is the only thing I take issue with because it's simply untrue. McCaffery went 48 games straight without missing a game. We did not back up "a cash truck to an oft injured RB." We paid a guy who had never missed a game. tldr - hindsight 50/50 etc

Who cares? It's not like he misspelled Matt Corral's name.

Baker Mayfield vs. Sam Darnold, Day 7:

So the backups won the day by default? -
What are your thoughts on these helmet bubbles AKA Guardian Caps

This. And every fan should feel this way. -
Potentially a high point rep? Hard to say without knowing if there was a specific point to this rep.

Why? Surely you've heard of the Rhule kiss of death. How many times does he praise a player and they get cut two days later? It's because when asked, Rhule purposely says nice things about them, but purposely doesn't mention the fact they are about to get cut if we don't find a trade partner. Rhule's a talker. And apparently a pretty good one since most folks on here believe everything he says then clutches pearls when he does the exact opposite. You think he's accidentally being less than truthful? I don't know how much of this QB competition is a farce, but the statement isn't a blatant lie, though I doubt it's entirely honest either. I don't think that was an accident.
-
You've never seen a Belichick press conference then. Though, I'd say they are the exact opposite. Belichick basically says nothing. His answers are short, to the point, and rarely addresses the actual question. Rhule talks and talks without saying anything of substance. Same result, different styles. The answer from either coach is just as worthless.

Looked like a sack fumble to me, if this was a real game. Beautiful throw but he needed another half second.
-
I wonder if Darnold can see his job slipping away. Baker with the 1's today, Darnold with the 2's. Maybe not tomorrow, but maybe one day soon it stays that way....

I see Sam to the Rams possibly in the near future...

We don't need someone to take the contract. We can afford to eat it, if it meant getting a decent draft pick in return. -
I would totally play a cell shaded version of Madden.
-
Baker making Higgins and TMJ look good against the 2's.
-
Yeah that's the part I don't understand. Why did he intentionally throw to the guy instead of the net? The other two threw to the net.
-
There is a tweet right after that one stating Baker was 1-3. So yay, better! I guess.
-
I'm not sure what Baker was doing there? That looked intentional to me. Interestingly, the Darnold and Corral misses were almost identical, except that Corral was a laser, but location-wise they were almost in the same spot, and both were very close to the target, off by the thickness of the football about.
