This is the part that is crazy to me. At LSU, he was the master at calling the right play at the right time and was the red zone specialist. Hopefully he'll find his groove, but the clock is ticking. Also to note, he was not the play caller at LSU and only made situational calls there. Maybe he needs some assistance?

Official New York Jets at Carolina Panthers Gameday Thread!

This team is downright pathetic. Brady better prove his worth soon, as he looks putrid in the red zone again. -
I was just coming to say this. Getting rid of JJ now may be the wrong move if Fletcher cannot be trusted. Slye is finished.

Ian "Soft as diarrhea" Thomas? Have you seen him try to hit anyone? He gets blown up by CB's, he is not FB material (or TE if you ask me)!

Perspective, Directive, and Erective - The Panthers offensive woes and you

I am trying to stay positive, but watching other teams complete pass after pass all game in the preseason makes me wonder why this team cannot after the 2nd unit leaves the field. I get not being able to put a full drive together to score, but this team cannot even run a successful play all second half in both games so far. Joe Brady is supposed to be some kind of guru, but he struggled all last year inside the 20 and it is continuing this preseason. If preseason is supposed to be about player to player matchups, then everyone but the 1st team is failing spectacularly at this and even the 1st team Oline looks bad. Add in Slye and the personnel looks really bad once you dig deeper. I hope Rhule and Fitterer can solve this, but I need someone to show me some light. -
They should cut his sorry ass, he has shown nothing this year and is the softest TE I have ever seen after the catch.
-
This team needs to learn how to close out a game. On top of that, they have no depth, the 3rd string is lost.
-
Should be cut next week. Inexcusable.
-
Here we go again, D turns soft on runs.
-
Slye really is a head case.
-
Well, this explains a lot and is an inditement on Hurney and staff. How could they miss so badly on the character of someone they were willing to trade into the 1st round for? Glad that gift is gone now and is Rivera's problem again.
-
Well, I sure don't blame them. Clifford was canned shortly after he raised hell about not drafting Mitchell. JB must have seen how inconsistent and immature Monk was and did not want to bet his career on someone so volatile. i hope MJ learned from the whole saga of forcing him on the team instead of Mitchell. Oh how glorious it is to see the team in good hands now.
-
Yea, me too, but Terry has won me over with his work ethic. i do agree that paying him big money would be a mistake. Mitch needs to find a way to keep him for not so big money, he is someone you want to set the tone.
-
That would be a bit of a risk, Rozier works his ass off and is a real dog on the court. I hate to see anyone like that get replaced. This team needs more of him.
-
Well, see ya Malik Monk!

Former Panther Kelvin Benjamin's attitude...

Even that clip shows his lazyness. As tall as he is, he just waits for the ball to come to him instead of goes up and gets it. He was good at catching those, but never improved due to his attitude. He could have been a really good to great WR, but really went off the rails after his mother's death. Sad to see, but after his comments on Cam, he made his own bed. No one wants to put up with that crap without elite production. -
PJ Washington needs to be put on notice. He is too busy chasing porn actresses and does not seem to care about his actual job. I am sick of seeing him get out muscled and maneuvered for rebounds and generally looking uninspired. Between him and Monk, I'm not sure if the light goes on upstairs. They both seem to like the idea of being an NBA player more than actually improving. If they had half the fire of Terry, they'd be good players.
-
PJ is the laziest player on the team. All that talent and poss poor effort game after game. Monk is just as you said, not big time, he disappears every time he is needed. This team needs some bigs in the worst way and needs to cut some fat if they don't wake their asses up. Some guys are playing their hearts out and others (looking at you PJ and Monk, hurt ass Hayward too) cannot seem to get out of their own way.
-
He needs to work on not falling down when a DB looks at him after a catch. I have never seen such a soft TE in my life. I would love to see him be successful, but cannot take more of his brain farts this year.
-
Oh well, Tepper and Fitterer are officially worse than Hurney and Gettleman. W.T.F!!!
-
This team absolutely cannot play with a lead. Lazy pass after lazy pass and poof goes half the lead. Wake up idiots!
-
If, and that is a big IF, PJ decides to actually show up, this team has a chance to win. PJ needs to stop chasing women and commit to the team, his wild inconsistency is killing them now.
