  1. I still remember some of those double trouble glory days where they just ran behind the right side of the line over and over and couldnt be stopped. A monday night football game against the giants I believe it was really stands out to me.
  2. I dont get this evaluation at all. Willis's reads in general are one of his biggest question Mark's that I've seen.
  3. The elite picks are OT and edge rusher. If one of the top OT dont fall then we could still use another edge rusher.
  4. I agree. I watch all his breakdown videos and they are great. Then his comments and rankings dont line up with his comments in the individual videos at all. I dont really get that part of it. Also the shot at the panthers seems a bit misplaced. On paper (which is all we can go by right now) our oline is well improved, CMC is healthy for now, we have a really solid wr room overall, and an OC that is known to be good for qbs. I feel like his summary video is just parroting the mainstream media takes for some reason while his individual game breakdowns are much better.
  5. If you cant hold your end of the deal then you dont make the deal to begin with. That's on them. No one else.
  6. I agree. Even in terms of skillset they arent even the same. I dont get the redundant thing unless they are maybe saying record wise but even then I think we probably win one or two more games with Mayfield.
  7. Most of the biggest busts at qb have all fit that mold. People think everything but speed and a big arm is coachable or will be improved and that's not the case a lot of the time. Our coaches already did that exact thing with Darnold.
  8. Darnold always owned his struggles.
  9. It figures you would be one of the ones who think JB is a bad coach.
  10. To be fair, outside of Lawrence everyone tried to say this exact same thing at this point last year. At this time last year Howell and Rattler were considered cant miss prospects.
  11. Willis also went against much worse defenses than the acc.
  12. So with every other qb prospect it's ok to entirely focus on their weaknesses but with Willis you can only focus on his strengths and if you mention his clear weaknesses its just because you hate "mobile" quarterbacks? Willis has just as many questions marks as any other potential first round qb.
  13. Most people seem to act like Willis is the only qb with mobility in this draft though? Every qb that could potentially go in the first or second round besides Strong I would consider very mobile for a qb for NFL standards.
  14. I agree with you to an extent but the agonizing over the thought of drafting a mobile quarterback works both ways. There are way more people here who overrate mobility than hate the idea of having a mobile qb.
  15. In my opinion QBs ceilings are almost impossible to get an accurate read on unless they have an absolute noodle arm. The people coming up with most of these ideas of qbs ceilings are basing it entirely on elite arm strength or their speed. Neither of those things is used especially often and Pickett is actually above average to good on both of those traits anyways. Flashy plays in college doesnt neccesarily equal a much higher ceiling.
  16. Yep, until I read who posted it I thought they meant the opposite of what they meant.
  17. Well it does affect me when there are a million posts a day saying the exact same thing. Everything is terrible, fire rhule, tiny hands, etc. Over and over.
  18. It seems like some people should just change teams by now. Why be a fan of the panthers? If everything you think about it is negative why do it? Its entertainment. It's for fun. I just dont understand the point for some people here. I'm not saying fans shouldn't be upset or they cant be negative but what do you as a fan get out of being negative and hating everything about the team right now 24/7. It seems exhausting.
  19. Yea that's what frustrates me about these takes. A lot of the best qbs dont have anything physically elite. The most important part of being a qb is between the ears. Second to that is accuracy. Neither of those show up as elite physical traits or exciting flashy ideas but it's the truth. So to say those things can be coached, especially making quick decisions etc. Is ridiculous, some of the stuff between the ears cant be coached any more than running fast or throwing it far.
  20. I'm as uncertain on Pickett as the next guy but this is a silly take.
  21. The problem with this argument is almost every top qb in this draft besides Strong falls into this category basically.
  22. That's what I see in the tape I've watched too. Mid 4.5. He's quicker than fast.
