The charts I had looked at valued it at 1600 to 1875, with the difference basically being an early third value. Trades dont always go to chart value these days. Its just a basic guide.

If he runs a high 4.4 or 4.5? Nothing. If he ran a 4.2 or 4.3 like people are trying to say? He would definitely have something to gain.
-
If he thought he was going to run anything in the 4.2 or 4.3 range he would have ran at some point. He got ran down too many times to run anywhere near that.
-
An almost dream scenario for me would be trading pick 6 to the eagles for pick 16 and 19 so they could land one of the top DE and we somehow get Penning and Corral. Unlikely? Sure, but one could dream.

Everything I've always heard says Rhule has final say.
-
How do you know? I get it is easier to blame everything wrong on one person but that's silly. We have no idea who is the most to blame for the bad decisions or credit for the good ones but the Rhule haters already have every move figured out based on how they feel about it. Its ridiculous at this point.
-
That's another reason I wish he had done some of the mobility drills. I'm not sure he would have looked nearly as athletic and mobile if he had been going up against the sec or acc defenses every week.
-
Yea there are a lot of mentions about how bad his oline was and that may be true but I saw several plays where he had a good pocket and created the pressure himself. A decent bit of the sacks were on him.
-
Ridder looked the best at the senior bowl that I saw. Hes another one I would be fine taking a little later if they traded back and the staff liked him.
-
I agree with that much but you also listed Rodgers, herbert, mahomes as dual threat qbs and he is in their league as a runner potentially if not better.
-
You could classify them as that sure but like has been mentioned. Most of those guys run as a last resort. They move in the pocket and keep their eyes down the field until the last second. Also like I said, Pickett is faster than most of those guys. For example Mahomes numbers as far as mobility dont even really compare to Picketts. So why is Willis considered such a dual threat potentially, he just needs to work on some of his passing game but Pickett isnt? They were asked to do different things but Pickett is athletic enough too.
-
I would just like to know his 10 yard split more than anything. I dont think he did any of the cone drills either? Just to get more of a feel for pocket mobility. Also I think the numbers would be very similar to Pickett's and then I feel like all the people talking about how much more mobile he is would have a different tune. Willis is more mobile I would assume but I think it's closer than people realize.
-
Most of those guys arent especially fast. They are good at moving in the pocket. Pickett is also as athletic/mobile as or more than almost all of those guys as well.
-
I'm in the exact same boat. If they draft any of the qbs I will excited. Each of the top prospects have clear strengths and clear weaknesses. I dont know which one I prefer. The gm, coaches, and scouts have so much more film and availability than we do. If they decide they line one enough to be the pick at 6 then I'm excited to have them.

What qb that actually runs a lot has won a super bowl recently? It's great in the regular season but doesnt seem to work as much in the playoffs. Manipulating the pocket and sensing pressure is much more important than a qb full blown running.
-
I wonder what his deal is with not wanting to run considering mobility is one of his biggest strengths. I dont believe he ran at the combine either.
-
I wasnt comparing him to Cam as far as play styles. Just their strengths and weaknesses. Cam obviously was much bigger. I would say Josh Allen definitely looked better in college than Willis. Allen had plenty of question marks coming out but not nearly as many as Willis. I'm not sure the Pickett Jimmy G comparison is accurate at all. I'm not advocating for any qb in particular. To be fair I dont think Willis is anywhere near Lamar Jackson level athletic and are we talking about Lamar vs. Jimmy g in regular season or playoffs? Depending on that the answer may be closer than you think.
-
Yea, he has all the traits a lot of the huddle overrates, a cannon and he runs. The negatives are he misses reads a lot, he uses his arm strength to make up for the fact he never throws with anticipation, and I would also say the fact he didnt dominate lesser competition and looked pretty bad against better competition. He is a poor mans cam right now. His strengths are similar but not as otherworldly as Cam's and his weaknesses are the same but worse. All that being said he could still be the best prospect. I honestly have no idea anymore lol. Hes definitely a scary choice though.
-
He has literally never made a throw with anticipation that I've seen.
-
Heads up. You are totally wrong. Pickett is more athletic than most of the qbs in the nfl if you want to look at numbers coming in. I already showed the comparison to Mahomes but since you insist (for reasons I can only assume) his athleticism is comparative to Dalton, I will give you the comparisons.
-
I will begin with I'm not sure how I feel about Pickett. Every qb in this class has strengths and question marks. One or two will most likely end up being good qbs, but which ones seems like anybody's guess. The thing I do find funny is how people keep randomly saying Pickett's athleticism is a liability. Here are his numbers compared to a qb most people on here think is especially athletic.
-
Could be, or it could be the coach with no nfl experience is learning as he gains said experience. That's usually how it works. Its unfair to blame a person for all the bad and give someone else credit for all the good when he has the same amount of input on both decisions. It's so much just single track blind hatred. Sometimes people get better as they go. Is that what's happening? Maybe, I dont know. The same as everyone that thinks they know it's not him.
-
A lot of the greatest qbs of all time had plenty of physical limitations. Brees and Brady for example. Neither were mobile. Neither had especially strong arms.
-
This is simply untrue. There are so many physical talent qbs who bust. Way more physical talent qbs that can make the "leap" bust than average athlete and arm strength qbs who throw with accuracy and anticipation.

None of these moves matter without our franchise QB

I agree. Minus the Cam part. That ship sailed years ago. Rhule has definitely made some mistakes but the roster has constantly been filling holes since he came. I would say at the current moment the roster on paper has the least holes its had in years and years. The main mistake I would say Rhule has made is prioritizing all holes on the roster equally regardless of position.
