Vegas heard about that joint practice.

He came back out and seemed ok for the most part I think. I get the feeling that it's not carted off this year in the way it used to be. Used to it meant a major injury. Now it seems like they take everyone in the cart to get checked out for any injury even if very minor.

The Jets Joint Practice Thread: HOT Take Edition

Hot take So are the ones hijacking a practice thread where he had a really good day to talk about him being bad or to complain about people saying he looked good. -
The Jets Joint Practice Thread: HOT Take Edition

Hot take Dawgs is just a buzz word that Morgan uses to refer to players that would have been great in his playing days but don't really work in the modern nfl. -
Or our offense is just really bad. Hence why some preseason game action is helpful.

Johnson is going to have 150 catches for 750 yards and 2 tds

I don't blame Dan at all for the Burns situation. My biggest concerns for Dan that are entirely on him so far is the draft and personnel decisions feel exactly like fitterer. Maybe that said these players will pan out but we will see. I juat don't see the vision. I hate taking old "raw" players anyways and then the players themselves don't seem to fit any vision or scheme. It all just feels like a hodgepodge of different players thrown together that don't fit together.

I loved Dan as a player and think he's a really good dude. That being said I've never been sold on him as a gm. He always entirely got a pass on Fitterers decisions while he was the worst gm in the NFL, and he's always seemed dated as far as approach, schemes, and personnel. Since he has taken over all he has done is further those worries. Everything feels exactly like it did with Fitterer, and dated. Especially draft picks. I also don't understand the Panthers as a whole and their fascination with becoming the Seahawks of the 2010s. A system that doesn't work anymore, even for the seahawks. Heck we got the better of them before that era was over even.

Sanders doesn't even stand out in a weak qb class, plus he's nowhere near as good as his dad thinks and he wouldn't let him come here anyways. I would keep an eye on Conner Weigman from tx a&m to be a big riser this season.

Who impressed & who needs to get his ass cut (Preseason week 1)

I really can't believe the people who are judging the new coach and wanting to bring in a guy still on the streets after literally 1 preseason game. -
I guess XL's camp report falls in to the rare 10%.

Toe-to-toe.... with ISM on the depth chart for wr #5

Yea I feel like if you're still raw after 5 years of college ball, then maybe that's just who you are.

Tepper ranked dead last in owners (wow color me suprised)
Tr3ach replied to Craig Cartner's topic in Carolina Panthers
He clearly wants to win, he clearly will spend money. Literally he just needs to learn from his experience and step back. Those are the 2 things he needs to work on. Most of the rest of the blind hatred is unsubstantiated claims to convince ourselves he's bad. Has he been bad so far? Yep. Could he always be bad? Definitely. But 2 of the main positives I can think about in an owner are strong desire to win and willing to open the checkbook, so that's a start. -
Only scary thing is how much is Clowney and how much is our garbage pass protection. We will find out soon I guess.

You think it doesn't have an impact?

I really don't know that Bryce will be the guy but you taking a snapshot of where is open right before he catches it instead of where he was open when Bryce was actually releasing it tells that you're just looking to hate. He wasn't that open when Bryce was releasing it. Bryce made sure to throw it where only his guy could catch it and he did. I'm definitely not sold on Bryce but I'm not bias enough to spin everything to fit my perspective.

Ok I thought I remembered seeing something like that but didn't know if any of the media or anything mentioned him at all. Hopefully it means nothing but with him playing 5 years and college and going against our awful secondary, him disappear onto most of the time isn't the best sign.

Can anyone say how he looked in the team stuff last night?

Incomplete ras scores. Where they don't run any of the agility drills. Receivers don't need agility.

I get what they're trying to say as far as he's good at the things you can teach and not good at the things you can't, but that doesn't mean he can't improve a lot. The game clearly seemed too fast for him last year. If it slowed down, what happens if he becomes great at the things you can't teach instead of good? Realistically I don't think he can be a top 10 qb ever either, but there are definite improvements that can be made where his ceiling is a lot higher than some people think. I'm not saying he will ever reach that ceiling necessarily though.
