  1. What would you be looking to accomplish right this second with a billboard?
  2. No? I would much rather him continue to learn from his experience/mistakes. He clearly wants to win, he clearly came in mistakenly thinking he knew more than everyone else. He definitely seems to be taking a step back. I have no idea why anyone would cheer for the team to be bad long term, especially when that doesn't guarantee in any way that he would even sell the team if so.
  3. I honestly am still on the side of stack defense, especially pass rushers this draft and sign a stop gap qb till next year. Being forced to pass most of the time because you're playing from behind because your defense cant stop anyone isn't good for any qb, especially a rookie, especially with how good our running game has looked when we are able to use it before having to go one dimensional every game because of the score.
  4. Our offense has been much more explosive with Dalton in there? In literally every facet. Every single player on the offense has improved statistically with Dalton at qb.
  5. If this is a quote taken from the processing blue podcast this morning then it's definitely cropped in a way to make it seem more more official than what he said on the podcast. On the podcast he had no idea what was going to happen and threw it out hypothetically that if we didn't play him again this season then he was definitely done here and he didn't know if or when they would play him but he thought after these next few winnable games that if we lose them then he sees a world where they might as well play young. He definitely wasn't declaring anything or talking like he had some inside information
  6. I agree. There is no way any coach could make our defense good consistently. I just think there is a stubbornness to not try things or change the approach.
  7. Elite defensive coordinators can scheme up pressures the same way good offensive coordinators can scheme people open imo.
  8. I disagree strongly. Blitzing and being aggressive puts you at risk of getting burned. We are getting burned anyway. We are giving up the most points in the NFL by far playing it safe and letting them run down our throats and the qb stand back all day and pick our secondary apart. At least when you play aggressive and blitz you have the chance to cause confusion or make the qb make a mistake. We don't have the coverage talent to play super soft and let the qb have all day to throw either. We are a historically bad defense this season playing soft and safe. What is there to lose?
  9. So 22.5 points per game without young which would put us right in the middle.
  10. That is going to happen once you're behind and the other team is running the clock out and your offense has to pass to try to get back in to the game.
  11. Exactly. That's the problem. You could say run the ball and it takes the ball out of the other teams hands but that doesn't matter if you can't make a defensive stop. If they score on almost every drive then it still doesn't matter and you're still going to end up playing from behind and inevitably forced to pass anyways.
  12. I don't want to reach on a qb just to take one. If there is no qb worth the #1 pick then don't reach. We clearly need defensive talent and especially pass rush which this draft should have a lot of.
  13. Yea. Ian Thomas being back is a net negative. No idea why we keep looking his direction. Dumb decision by Dalton but he was assuming Thomas would run a better route and use his size advantage to screen off corner.
  14. That's the thing, it wasn't great last year. It looked really good in certain metrics but those metrics were mostly skewed.
  15. We showed blitz and actually blitzed and they fell apart. You can scheme pressure the same as a good offensive coach can scheme someone open.
  16. It's the Evero scheme. Play soft prevent zone all game.
  17. Evero's scheme has always been soft. That's why I've never been a huge fan. He's a solid coach I just hate playing soft defense. I prefer a more aggressive defensive scheme.
  18. Because it's harder to body catch on the move.
  19. Yea which is sad considering they only have 5 total sacks so far this season.
  20. I believe he chose to set out the covid season and then had a major injury early the next season. If I remember correctly.
  21. Exactly. I've felt that ever since the draft. I was worried it was going to be Fitterer 2.0 as soon as we promoted Morgan and as soon as the draft happened it almost confirmed my fears.
  22. Morgan wants to build a team like it's 1999. In 99 running backs were really valuable.
