  1. I think there are a lot more huddlers than you realize who think he should be qb next season.
  2. He doesnt normally call the offense though. That's not something many head coaches are responsible for. Not unheard of but not commonplace.
  3. Or he could have just ran it for a yard like the main play was called.
  4. Well we were 3-0 so there was no point then. He had 4 tds in the week 4 loss and then after that he definitely said multiple times they needed more from the QB and they couldnt win with qb play like that. This is looking for drama for dramas sake. Everyone wants to blame Rhule for everything (and he definitely deserves some of it) and Cam is a hometown hero and panthers darling. No matter what anyone says or who's feelings get hurt hes still not the future at the position. Hes the best panthers qb of all time but hes not that on the field now.
  5. Rhule 100% did call him out too. Neither are the answer at qb of the future though so the point is kind of irrelevant.
  6. Holding on to the ball too long with a bad oline, the Bill's sending a lot of CB blitzes and Cam not being as mobile as he used to is a totally different thing than young Cam holding on to the ball too long. It's the same as his throwing late. He used to have the lazer arm to make up for it and now sometimes his shoulder cant quite do it the same so late throws are a bigger problem than they used to be when he could make up for it. All young Cam's biggest strengths were strengths that dont traditionally age well and that's unfortunate.
  7. He did throw Sam under the bus though. In the end none of the qbs on the roster are the long term solution, but if you lump Cam in that generalized statement then half of the huddle flips out. Our current situation is horrible for the qb. Any qb. They have all looked bad for lots of reasons. I still dont think the answer is on the roster.
  8. I'm not sure? I'm not sure what that has to do with this situation either?
  9. Yea I'm not really posting it to blame Cam but Rhule was getting flamed on here when that happened and then everyone was freaking out when Rhule was angry with him on the sidelines. This just shines a little light on that one specific situation that was definitely getting a lot of flack.
  10. He 100% did. He mentioned multiple times how they needed more from the qb play and they couldnt win with play like that.
  11. This was Cam's last shot. There is a reason he was sitting at home eating cereal as he said a few weeks ago.
  12. Yes. I believe everyone constantly called Darnold out on his mistakes. Lol
  13. A zone read run play was called with the option to run that screen and Cam switched to that option. That explains why him and Rhule got into it a little bit on the sidelines after. https://twitter.com/scott_fowler/status/1472685315487850500?s=20
  14. Anyone who says yes is basing it off his past. Not his present or future. To what end would they do that? Hes not our qb of the future with his slowing down and major injury history. He is a stop gap as much as it pains some people to admit it. It's crazy to bring in a new offensive coordinator and system for a stop gap qb.
  15. Yea I thought it had 2 requirements out of the pocket (yes) and past the Los (definitely not).
  16. They have a terrible offensive line and the defensive line is bad against the run. The roster has plenty of holes that will stop you from being consistently good.
  17. That was 6 years ago. Hes not that player and hasnt been in years. He could have been great at that time and not good now. Time and health catches up with everyone. You cant blindly defend a player now because they were great 6 years ago... thanks for giving the literal perfect response to what I said.
  18. There just appears to be a lot of hypocrisy since Cam got here and its frustrating. I have to clarify I dont think Darnold is the answer either but the arguments and views for who's at fault and why have totally changed since Cam got here. Every qb we have played this season hasnt looked like the answer. There are plenty of roster and coaching decisions that shoulder that blame but no qb has looked like the answer either. That includes Sam, that includes Cam. If you say the same thing about Cam when he does it that was said about Sam when he did it you're just a Cam hater or an f150 and that's bs.
  19. I'm not sure we have anyone on the roster right now who can save the day. Thats a whole lot of dead weight to carry.
  20. Yea I think he will for sure get in before the season is over. Even if it's just situational.
  21. He just doesnt always have the zip he used to. Hes always struggled a bit with throwing preemptively or with great timing he could just make up for it by always throwing lazers. He cant do that as much now so a lot of the times its just a tick or two late.
  22. Half of the posts on this thread are people blaming someone else every time Cam makes a bad throw or read.
  23. First off hes no worse than cam now. They are basically equal. Second off I bet you 100% he touches the field again. Most likely this season. Even if hes not a very good qb. Look at what we've got.
  24. It's like everything else since Cam got here. They are no longer the qbs fault. It's the coach's fault, or the wide receivers fault, maybe the grounds man that takes care of the turf.
