Insight into the broken relationship between the Browns and Mayfield
Tr3ach replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think he knowingly bought a stolen laptop. I believe there was something about him trying to hide it or throw it out of a window or something if I remember correctly. It's been a long time though lol. -

If he was released we probably wouldnt have got him for under 5 million for sure. -

We were good at scoring in the first quarter and terrible the rest of the game. That's an indictment on the OC.
-
So you want the team to be bad to teach someone a lesson? Sounds like a good fan. These aren't children. Also, I dont understand the fans who are 100% certain that someone doesnt get better at their new job with experience.

We werent a top 5 pick last year with Darnold and he really couldnt have been worse than last year and the oline has greatly improved on paper, CMC is healthy (for now), Horn is back and healthy. I dont think we were ever seriously in the running for a top 3 pick.
-
We weren't a bottom 3 team in the league last year, we had the 6th pick and went 1-7 in one score games. Our roster overall has improved since last year. The people who thought we were in the running for the top pick were caught up in the hate for Rhule and the over reacting sports media. We were never going to get the top pick this coming season.

It's better than sitting on their hands not trying to improve. I dont get it. Certain people are just going to complain no matter what happens.

Carolina Panthers are a mess, bad situation, etc.

Unlike the haters, I hope the Panthers win, and if they do it's going to be hilarious watching all the people here who are constantly negative have to jump ship and be happy they're winning or dig their heels in even more on why it's bad and doesnt mean anything. If you watch the national media talk for more than 5 minutes you can tell they dont actually know crap about the roster or anything like that. They are just talking because that's their job, they dont matter. -
I think the fact Baker is gathering all the skill positions to work out with says hes either very confident hes going to beat out Sam or the coaching staff has already told him hes most likely going to be the starter, or both.
-
You really take this Texas stuff personally huh?
-
I think everyone hopes he is the future. I think this is more in regards to the people throwing a fir because we brought in Baker for this year because now Corral probably wont start this year.
-
It was him or Darnold. Baker has been much better than Darnold. If hes bad this year then they both walk. They are trying to solve a problem by literally taking no risk when no other move could be made this season and people are still complaining. I don't really get it.
-
What is this worst case scenario that you're so certain of?
-
Just prove it on the football field, not Instagram.

A couple people are mad just to be mad. Theyve been complaining for months about Sam, Corral has said himself hes not ready yet, and they're mad we didnt stand pat instead of trying a move that literally has no lose condition at all.
-
There has never been any actual source to that and we just traded for him and he took a pay cut to come here.
-
What would your move have been? I believe they plan on Corral being ready after this season if Baker isn't it. There is literally no loss.
-
So basically college football drama. Gotcha. I dont care at all about that.
-
If we didnt get better then what is the problem?
-
If hes average then hes gone I'd guess. We didnt have a top pick in the draft last year. I'm not sure why so many people are acting like we were guaranteed a top 3 pick in the draft or something when our roster is better than last year.
-
He plays really well, hes the potential long term qb. He plays bad, he walks at the end the year and Matt got to not be rushed and learn the playbook and he will be ready step in. Either of those are potential long term plans. Those are pretty much the only two scenarios and I don't see either being especially bad.
-
If he plays great and you arent sure about what to do then you franchise him and make him do it again. If hes great two years then your question is kind of answered. If hes mediocre hes gone or cheap.
-
Look at that, a situation where we dont totally disagree for once. Is the huddle healing?
