  1. I strongly disagree. The Texans like our offer the most because of all of the young cheap talent we have. If the trade doesnt work out we keep that young talent. They already signed a solid RG. Use the pick we would be trading away to draft O line to solidify that. Use our early pick next year to take our qb. The team isnt in nearly as bad of shape as so many people who want to hate everything Rhule and Tepper want to make it out to be. We dont get Watson it's not the end of the world. Then we have our young pieces, more picks, and more cap.
  2. That's only true from a fans impatient perspective. He could love option A but when there isnt really a set timeline or reason that a few extra days matter, why wouldnt you go ahead and listen to option B, C, and D as well? What is his benefit in rushing before considering all options. That doesnt mean he doesnt like one of his first options.
  3. I also have no idea why Texans would have interest in CMC when going full rebuild.
  4. People keep making posts like this while also saying we have more young cheap talent to offer than these other teams. Which is it?
  5. I just dont understand how you build the rest of the roster with no picks and no cap.
  6. The question is once we give away all of our draft picks and watson takes up all of our cap room, how do we replace them?
  7. I basically have. I check in and skim the post topics and most of the time leave immediately because it's clear what every post is. There are usually 2 or 3 topics worth looking at with actual information and the rest are all unconstructive wastes of reading. The combine is going on now. All the NFL brass are at the same place. There are plenty of constructive things to talk about right now.
  8. No amount of negative posts on this forum are going to get Rhule fired.
  9. How many different posts all with the same general idea do we need. This place has turned into a sh-- show too. It used to be so nice coming here to talk panthers football and the latest news and ideas going on with the Panthers. Now its just 5-10 posts a day all saying the exact thing. what's the point.
  10. Brady did, Brees did. Herbert ran around a 4.70 if I remember correctly. Even qbs that are faster such as mahomes, rodgers, and burrow use their feel of the pocket much more than their speed.
  11. Speed and arm strength are so overrated on this forum. You can basically be a statue if you are good at sensing pressure/ where its coming, reading the defense, and getting rid of the ball fast and accurately and with anticipation. I agree with you fully that those are the skills that win consistently.
  12. It would be an offense Cam isnt really familiar with and honestly I would say they have similar strengths (besides the fact Cam was huge) and similar weaknesses. Cam's weaknesses never improved that much over his career, his strengths were just great enough they carried him. I'm not sure what about that would make a great mentor. Cam was spectacular in his time and he is the face of the franchise but it's time to move on. I'm not sure how many ways it can be shown that he's not the player he used to be. Time is undefeated.
  13. To be fair, this time last year it was the exact same narrative. Lawrence was a potential superstar but besides that this years class looked a lot stronger. Then Howell wasnt especially impressive and Rattler did what he did and here we are.
  14. Or maybe hes just speaking the truth to him? This place only agrees with things that parrot what they think anymore. Anything else is wrong or they're just saying it because they have to. Maybe these players and such know more than we do? Nah.
  15. Avoiding pressure in the pocket isnt really an athletic thing. It's more of just feeling the pressure and moving to help set up the blocks. There are plenty of good qbs who dont scramble out of the pocket very often but have an excellent feel for avoiding pressure.
  16. The comments not so much. There are always plenty of comments comparing him to Cam in a negative way.
  17. I've only read the quote but to be fair, saying "I really have to think" is him saying his opinion, not stuff he has heard from the inside nesscesarily.
  18. I don't get the Josh Allen comparisons at all besides a strong arm. I feel like there are two main things the huddle overreacts to with quarterbacks. Elite arm strength and their running ability. I'm not saying those things arent positives, just saying people here seem to really overrate them.
  19. Yea, I have no idea for the most part. I've learned that from being wrong enough to realize that. Some people havent learned that lesson I suppose. I'm not sold on him either. He reminds me of how Hornets used to draft with Cho. Take the "safest" player with the lowest floor, but really there is no safe pick and you never know how players are going to adjust to the nfl game. Several of the best qbs of all time didnt have any "elite" traits early on. I would rather them beef up the oline, but I try to get too caught up in the poo poo'ing of everything just because our current regime has seemed incompetent.
  20. All these comments feel so much like the Mac Jones posts this time last year.
  21. That sounds like they do have an eye for talent though. To bring all those guys in. Perryman and Apple milked injuries and didnt want to play it seemed. Douglas looked really good at first and then fell off some.
  22. Or he answered that question in his quote. "If you find a QB you like."
  23. If you win the super bowl then I guess you could make the argument that it doesnt matter. If you are one of the other 31 teams that tries to win it and fails then yes, I would say it 100% matters.
  24. It does to an extent, but it also decreases your window. In a couple seasons the Rams will be the oldest team in the league and cap strapped most likely.
