It seems like some people should just change teams by now. Why be a fan of the panthers? If everything you think about it is negative why do it? Its entertainment. It's for fun. I just dont understand the point for some people here. I'm not saying fans shouldn't be upset or they cant be negative but what do you as a fan get out of being negative and hating everything about the team right now 24/7. It seems exhausting.

Orlovsky: Pickett doesn’t have anything that isn’t coachable
Tr3ach replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yea that's what frustrates me about these takes. A lot of the best qbs dont have anything physically elite. The most important part of being a qb is between the ears. Second to that is accuracy. Neither of those show up as elite physical traits or exciting flashy ideas but it's the truth. So to say those things can be coached, especially making quick decisions etc. Is ridiculous, some of the stuff between the ears cant be coached any more than running fast or throwing it far. -

I'm as uncertain on Pickett as the next guy but this is a silly take. -
The problem with this argument is almost every top qb in this draft besides Strong falls into this category basically.
-
That's what I see in the tape I've watched too. Mid 4.5. He's quicker than fast.
-
More athletic yes. I'm not sure about an athletic freak. There is too much tape of him getting ran down from behind by these small school linebackers. I would guess (since he didnt work out at all we have to guess) that hes a mid to upper 4.5 guy. Which is plenty athletic for a qb dont get me wrong. I just wouldnt put him in the athletic freak department by default. You've got to remember most of the defenders he was going against are definitely not going to be playing on Sundays or even considering it. PJ walker went up against better defenses in college and much better defenses in the xfl. All that said I wouldnt say the two are especially comparable.

Most teams lose because they don't know why they lost.
Tr3ach replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh. I thought he said something about not knowing why he lost. To me the idea of what hes saying makes total sense unless you're just trying to find more reasons to not like the guy. If you dont know why you're losing then the problems causing you to lose are most likely going to continue. -
Yea I didnt see it that way at first but I actually agree. His squint at the end of the video is pretty clear that hes squinting to see whatever hes timing better.

Rhule: Sam Darnold will take a huge step this year
Tr3ach replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Apparently Sam was really good at three step drops last year. Sorry I have no idea how to embed from my phone. https://twitter.com/PFF_Panthers/status/1508618409877065728?s=20&t=zV6YNnEFpXEId3oPniaU8w -
That's the thing. Everyone sees these people outside of the NFL that have nothing to do with any teams talking about their rankings and all this and then people take it as gospel when really it could be totally different than what most teams think.
-
If a rookie qb in his rookie season ends up being enough to save Rhules job then maybe he shouldn't be fired hypothetically?
-
I would imagine one of the top 3 ot or top 3 de could look pretty enticing to the right team.
-
Or maybe Rhule is learning and adapting from his NFL experience. That's usually what happens when people gain experience.
-
A lot of people thought his weird month long retirement had something to do with something behind the scenes with TB and trying to strong arm his way. If there is any truth to the Mia rumors that just mostly confirms it.
-
You're doing a lot of mental linguistics with the first half. Should doesnt mean it isnt or it is.
-
I must admit I'm not really familiar with how all that works. Only a small percentage of it carries over right? It doesnt seem worth trading a young player away. Just take the 18m free next year.
-
Why would you trade away a young player for that? What's the point? Hes off the books after this season. We already have plenty of cap for this offseason, I'm not sure why they would trade away a young player to have more. Just let him walk after this season if it comes to all that.
-
Thanks, I can never get it to work for some reason. It doesnt mean too much to me either but I know some people really moved Willis up in their opinions based on his yesterday. There arent many plays where a qb needs to bomb it 65 or 70 yards.
-
For the arm strength is super important crowd. https://twitter.com/pff_mike/status/1507068134385147905?s=10&t=FQtolROPiFk4YpKDgLNNjw

Exactly.

He had the highest RAS of all the QBs at the combine for what it's worth. The staff does seem to love RAS.
-
To me this just makes it more apparent that they are playing some games as far as smoke screens and such. They are aware of how things look regardless of how many huddles think they are blind or just ignorant to this whole process. You can say it's because he wont be the pick at 6 and he would be gone by the 4th all you want, but you dont think Fitt and company are weighing all the potential options? Especially as much as he seems to like to trade back and compile extra draft picks. You cant take everything for face value this time of year no matter how obvious it appears. A lot of the time the stuff that looks the most obvious right now is intentional.
-
Who says they have Corral graded less though? I only want to take a qb if the GM and scouts are really sold on one and I definitely want it to be whichever one they rare the highest. Not the best value. I do think there is a chance they could have Corral ranked the highest possibly though.

The charts I had looked at valued it at 1600 to 1875, with the difference basically being an early third value. Trades dont always go to chart value these days. Its just a basic guide.
