  1. There is plenty of blame to go around. No one on offense is playing especially well besides a lineman or two. The line will continue to gel though.
  2. Yea that's one of the main things these days, great offensive coaches can really hurt great defensive teams by scheming and finding the mismatches and exploiting. Not always of course but it definitely seems to help.
  3. As someone else said earlier I would be great with Ben Johnson as HC and him bringing Mark Brunell with him as OC. I have no idea about potential DC yet.
  4. Some players called him out after him and Mahomes got into it on the sideline a week or two ago. They basically just said he was overly confrontational and didnt really know much about the passing game and was just carried by talent. No idea the amount of truth in it, that's just what some former players said.
  5. I would have agreed 10 years ago but these days offensive teams that are great at creating confusion and mismatches basically dominate the league.
  6. I remember the days when the huddle definitely hated Dorsey. I've thought about mentioning it for a while but didnt want to get flamed for it lol. I'm not sold on him just yet. The Bill's offense has elite talent and has been pretty good for a while.
  7. He got worse the more he played.. his best games were the first two he was on the roster.
  8. We had a team that won the first game of the season and then lost the next 15 in a row.
  9. Here are some truths that some people here dont want to hear. Nothing is 100% in one coach's, position group, or players fault. It's a shared blame of different degrees. I wish everything was just one persons fault like we love to act because that would make everything so much simpler. As I see it first and foremost I put our offensive struggles on our OC. Play calling is very vanilla and doesnt fit our players. I would say in a very distant number two would be Baker. Hes not playing well and play calling does nothing to adjust or make throws/windows any easier for him. Third I would say are the WRs in general. They arent getting seperation and a lot of that still comes to bad playcalling for our personnel. I think DJ Moore is a great receiver but hes not a great route runner. He is a receiver that you help scheme open. Quick 5 yard routes in space for his elite rac or getting some quick pick type plays to help him get open. Moore still has some improving to do to be able to get himself open regularly, again I would say this mostly falls on the OC and the plays hes calling. Could all of these guys do better than they have been? Yes, so there is some small blame there, but in the end our play calling isnt putting anyone in position for easy matchup wins.
  10. To be fair his effort was questioned mostly after people watched all 22 film of the game, not before.
  11. If you watch much film then Moore isnt playing especially well all of the time either.
  12. Yea I think there are a lot of people reading into this what they want. Hes clearly frustrated with how things are so far for him this season and the questions are just needling in on that and hes getting more irritated as they drill him. Frustrated doesnt mean mad at the coach or the qb or anyone specifically. Could he be frustrated with Rhule? Definitely, does this really point that out? Only if you want it to.
  13. To be fair I believe the Lions have the highest paid offense in the entire NFL. Does that mean that equals being good? No, but you would definitely hope they would be. Not saying that to knock him down at all, just one of many things that have to be considered.
  14. I read the article earlier. It's basically a new way of grading receivers specifically and based on last years rankings Anderson was the worst receiver in the nfl last season. Including right ends. DJ Moore also wasnt in the top 10 of any of their categories I noticed.
  15. Pff is notoriously bad for oline and usually decent against the secondary. The first half I thought chinn probably had his best half playing the pass. Not so much in the second half. Theyve really got to stop putting him in coverage so much.
  16. Yea he has looked solid against the run as advertised since they put him in late in game one.

Yea the players definitely like Rhule no matter how much the fans hate to hear it. He can be loved by the players and still deserve to be fired. Both things can be true and that's ok. No point in some people being outraged by the players liking their coach.
  18. I believe Wilks was the one that has been the most vocal about Chinn being at safety, to be fair.
  19. Exactly this, on the replays of the batted balls the offensive lineman is not even touching the dlineman and allowing them to jump freely. I have no idea how this hasnt been corrected yet. If the dlineman doesn't get quick pressure they are instantly preparing to bat the ball down and until the olineman start making them pay for it, it will continue. The team seemed to have a mean streak in the preseason and in the regular season it seems like the coaching staff has told them to lose all that energy and they are flat.
  20. Yea it seems weird. Every time you hear clips they are saying to stay calm and not to get too hyped and all that. They seem like zombies, bring back the juice they had during the Patriots week. I would rather have too much energy than none.
  21. Steve Smith literally hurt receivers development when he was a player, I couldnt imagine as a coach. You cant think every great player will make a good coach. Its usually the opposite.
  22. I noticed a lot of the time when he had a tackle on him and got a chip from the te then he would totally give up on even trying to rush the passer and would stop and stand there. I think that's part of why he brought it up and said hes going to have to work through it.
  23. That's definitely true. I'm just saying if there was ever a way that it could be proven then the nfl would be in huge trouble legally.
