What is happening now was inevitable yes. As I said when it was 10-7. When the defense starts to totally stay home and play the los it's not going to work anymore and we will start to continuously go 3 and out and the defense will get gassed. I said that in the second when we had the lead. What has happened?

I think hes a conservative coach and hes coaching tight. The same as at AZ.

I blame Wilks for being super conservative, not only in play calling but especially time management. We are 1-4. We have no reason not to play loose.

We has 11 yards of offense in that quarter. The defense is gassed. It's not just coaching. Our defense is specialized. They are based on speed and aggression but undersized. They are a defense that is made to play with the lead, not a defense for super conservative games where they are on the field the entire time and behind.

Like I said, tired defense. Super conservative offense isnt a sustainable strategy in the modern nfl.

You still have to take shots. Every play being a run or a short pass is never going to work. Defense will just sit. You have to take shots even if they wont work to show the defense.

Not using a timeout there when you're 1-4 is one of the most ridiculous overly conservative thing I've ever seen.

I'm still all in on the tank. We need a qb first and foremost. While its definitely true the first pick doesnt gurantee a good qb it is 100% the best odds for the Panthers right now. If you have the first pick you can pick any QB in the draft. Which means if they pick a qb and they bust and another one succeeds, they just missed on the pick. It was there to make. Gotta trust the scouts and GM. It's all in their hands.

The real question is how early does he get to practice?

I flat out said he deserved to be fired... I just think its ridiculous people try to turn him into this big evil villain. The locker room was a tight group, they liked Rhule no matter how much we want to see him as negative incarnate. The players liked Rhule, the players like Wilks. Both of those things can be true. Only fans outside of the locker room want to see it as it has to be one or the other. No matter how much some people want to hate him, he was just a dude who wasnt good enough at the job he was hired for, I dont think it was from lack of trying, he was just in over his head. Spoiler alert, the team is still going to have plenty of issues after he is gone. He wasnt the only problem and that will be clear. Also the roster has more talent now than it did when he inherited it. Hes not the boogeyman.

So many coming up with their own narratives. Heads up, Rhule needed to go, he also isnt the cause of everything you dont like about the panthers. Most of the players really liked him, you can find plenty of quotes from players today that confirm it. Luke is a big fan of Wilks, that's why hes there today. It doesnt have to have anything to do with Rhule. All of these things can be true. Was he deserving of being fired? Definitely. Is he this villain so much of the huddle wants to scapegoat for everything they dont like? Probably not. Let it go. He can't hurt you anymore.

I like him a lot but I want an offensive HC. Also I pray that we dont randomly go 500 the rest of the year even if that would be the panthers standard. 7 wins would be a classic panthers move.

He was definitely hated here as a qb coach. Mostly because Cam always had the same strengths and weaknesses he came in with. I believe he was also considered more of a yes man.

I disagree. I think Flores is an ok coach. I would put him on the same level as Rivera or someone similar. The biggest thing that hurts his case in my mind is they had a pretty talented roster and the team didnt take a step back at all when he left, if anything theyve looked somewhat better.

Actually it definitely does. Our oline isnt making the dline pay for stretching out to bat them down. I'm not sure if its coaching or what. Also it doesnt have to be in the balls, can be gut, ribs, or a hard shove the second they try to extend to bat the ball down. Honestly it's hard for them to extend to bat the ball down if the olineman doesnt give them space as well. There are lots of options to slow it down, and I never see us doing any of them on tape.
