  1. We chase speed without quickness. They draft like fans who fall in love with the 40. Noone we ever draft does shuttle or cone.
  2. This, minus the Tepper part. You fill needs in free agency, then you add talent in the draft. Reaching for positions is almost always going to go badly.
  3. They are apparently asking for a first and third for a player a lot of seahawks fans don't even love. I feel like he's hyped up more by people who haven't seen him play as much and see his measurable and highlights.
  4. To be fair Chubba did run a 4.36 at his pro day.
  5. He smoked the cone and shuttles. An edge isn't going to run 40 yards in a straight line very often unless something awful has happened anyway.
  6. Yea i honestly think that if Carter and Graham are gone as expected (even though I've started seeing some mocks lately with Graham falling a little) and we get a good offer to trade back a few spots then I think we should. Not because I don't like some prospects there but because I feel like there are several with similar value.
  7. I had a bunch of people arguing with me the other day that he can play a traditional inside or edge, but it's just not the case. He is a piece that has to go in a creative system to be able to get the most out of him. I don't think that's us at all, and I compared him to how we could never figure out how to use Chinn. Different type of player but same situation.

  9. Basically, in my opinion, if you're taking him mostly for ilb, you don't take him at 8. He's a good inside linebacker prospect but not nearly that good. If you take him at 8 you are entirely taking him for his edge potential.
  10. To be fair, that's double the yards legette had.
  11. Yea i don't get the white comment at all. It's not really a knock on tight ends. Look up the top 10 tight ends in receiving yards last season. He's not making the point he thinks he is.
  12. If Saquon Barkley was on the Giants last year, how many more games do you think they win? Spoiler, 1 more game at most probably. Elite running backs don't make bad teams good. They push good teams over the top.
  13. He said himself in his interviews today that he is more of a chess piece to move around and mentioned he's been working a lot with Nolan Smith jr.
  14. I wouldn't go that far. Nolan Smith was 240 and ran a sub 4.4 and still went pick 30. Combine doesn't make a player jump that much unless it's a bad team that drafts badly.
  15. Good running backs don't make a bad team good. Good running backs make a good team really good. We are fine with Chubba and a day 3 pick. Jeanty doesn't win us any more games.
  16. I kind of agree, before I saw how much Bowers has changed the future forecast of the Raiders. That said I still think I agree on not taking a te at 8, but if they take him i won't be outraged.
  17. A lot of people are saying there are 4 blue chip guys in this draft. Those would be Carter, Graham, Hunter, and.. Warren. Throw away positional value and he's probably the best player on the board ar 8.
  18. I disagree. He gets pushed back some inside. He makes plenty of tackles but in the middle there are always a yard or two further back than they should be. I think he's a pretty good prospect if you look at him as a classic inside linebacker but not near a top 10 guy. I think the main reason he is considered by some as a top 10 prospect is because of his athletic potential as an edge, but it's mostly all based on potential.
  19. We specifically made him our deep coverage safety though. He would have been fine as an in the box strong safety.
  20. A lot of their grades are very strange. I do have to say though that there are a lot of worlds where if you throw positional value out the windows, Warren may be the best player available when we are on the clock.
  21. You missed the point entirely. I wasn't comparing him to Chinn. I was saying he is a guy you've got to be creative with uses for him. He's not a classic edge or classic inside. I wasn't comparing how he plays to chinn at all. I was just meaning he doesn't have a true defined role, just like Chinn. They were awful trying to figure out how to use Chinn and it got worse every year.
  22. I disagree. I don't think he's exactly close to a Luvu. Luvu was pretty much a true edge that had played inside. Walker you're going to have to be a little more creative with. He's not going to really set an edge, he's great in the open. He gets pushed around a little on the inside and when lineman gets their hands on him he's stopped most of the time, but like I said even though he can't set an edge he can make plays in the run game if he's free.
  23. He's a gadget guy imo and needs to go to a team that knows how to use him. I don't think Evero and our vanilla defense will. See Chinn.
