Blatant Screw Job By These Refs
CanePantherHornet replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we learned anything from that it should be that you should never even mention bad officiating because if you do they're all just going to come down on you even harder. -

CMC and Jaycee Horn had injuries that will keep them out for significant time. Sam Darnold is dat deal. -

Davis Mills shidded his pants -
Absolutely horrible. Achilles injuries are known for permanently taking away a degree of speed and explosiveness.

At some point Chase Blackburn have to be held accountable. They've been horrible in every phase of special teams.

Two games in…. Is this a playoff team?
CanePantherHornet replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's definitely possible. If they wouldn't have expanded the field I'd say no though. -
Traditionally, what makes defenses is wrecking poo up front. I really don't think a whole lot matters besides having a stout line/pass rush.

The Athletic not very impressed with Sam Darnold
CanePantherHornet replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't see how you could be disappointed at this point. He's making his reads and getting the ball out very fast. I love how he'll pump fake and sell faux QB runs. He's been very poised and seems like he's starting to become more relaxed. He's got a rocket arm and he'll use it when the opportunity proceeds itself. He throws darts into tight windows. He can hit the checkdown when he needs to but that isn't his first option. When the pocket collapses he's shown the ability to escape and improvise. Several plays yesterday could have been disasters if he wouldn't have started scrambling. That play when he saw the safety sitting there waiting to jump the route so he went the other way was next level. I think he has the potential to be THE guy. It's going to be interesting to see how he does when the offensive line improves and gives him more time. He's already grown immensely. Sean Ryan has done an excellent job helping him grow. His next big step should be deep ball accuracy. If he can get a bit better in that category the sky is the limit. -

I don't get why people are mad. We should be glad to have inherited this meme. That sub has changed itself to Panthers themed and is now in full support of us.

It hasn't been as bad as we thought but it still isn't good. Darnold gets the ball out fast and he seems to have good pocket awareness.

How many times now have the Vikings been boned by a kicker in a huge moment?

Kyler Murray is playing like a midget Brett Favre with wheels. Jesus.

Legal NFL game streaming options?
CanePantherHornet replied to Doc Holiday's topic in Carolina Panthers
Just sail the illegal seas. They can never catch you unless you go on social media bragging about it. -
It's always seemed like he wanted to be an NFL guy, and college was just a means to an end. He's not been bad here. He took a team that was supposed to be absolute dog poo and made them scrappy/competitive right away. He's already shown a great talent for developing players and it seems like the team is trending in the right direction. He also just picked up his family and moved them from Texas to North Carolina, he has young kids and I can't imagine that would be a desirable thing to do again. The only thing that would give me pause is how his demeanor has changed since he's been here. On day one he was upbeat and positive, now he seems tired and annoyed most of the time.

Wasn't Taylor the guy who would come in for hail marys after Cam got injured?

It’s getting weird (bad weird) in Jacksonville
CanePantherHornet replied to Panthercougar68's topic in NFL
I'm pretty sure that's just a shitpost/joke. It's a meme on there about he always quits when things go even slightly south. There were news articles last Sunday claiming that he's been acting really erratic and seems in completely over his head though. -
It hasn't been a horrible game. I never thought we'd see Taylor Heincke in this situation again though.

Official Saints at Panthers Predictions thread!
CanePantherHornet replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
It would be ridiculously cathartic for the Panthers to win in a blowout. Panthers 100 Saints 0 -
At the moment, the only referees I groan over when we get them is Jerome Bogers crew. Anytime you get them you know it's going to be a slow game filled with ticky tack penalties.

He was only good at cap management because he fired the majority of our star player. I get that there's a time to move on and you can't keep everyone, but you have to make smart decisions. Gettleman would cut key parts of the team only to sign horrible contacts like Matt Kalil. What Gettleman did at WR and CB single handedly shot the team in the knee for several seasons. Hurney isn't perfect, but I think he's vastly superior to Gettleman. He would draft a complete stud in the first round every single year no matter where he was picking. I don't even really blame him for the cap situation during his 2nd tenture. The general belief at the time was that we could compete so we needed to be spending money to make another run. It's not Hurney's fault that Cam's shoulder died.

Are you really going to try to claim that Lamar Jackson is a better passer than Stafford? Your argument should be that Lamar > Stafford because Lamar is an okay passer with elite legs. Lamar would be in RG3 territory without his running ability.
