Panthers likely trading back in the first
CanePantherHornet replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
We've heard so many different stories that at this point the only thing that is certain is that someone is full of poo. -
"Three plaintiffs lied" WELL WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER 19?

Darnold and CMC working out together
CanePantherHornet replied to Mother Grabber's topic in Carolina Panthers
CMC has been a great leader for this team. I don't know of any other RB has takes charge like he does. -
I sort of feel bad for the guy at this point. He's still to this day a meme on r/NFL even though he hasn't been relevant for years. I would love to know what the fug he's coaching though. A class on how to not ruin your own career?

Teams ranked by the last 5 drafts
CanePantherHornet replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
People forget just how bad the Grier pick was. Marty Hurney said they had him as their top rated QB on their draft board. This fuger was supposed to be our insurance policy for Cam yet he can't even beat out an XFL QB on the depth chart. -
He's had one foot out the door the entire time he's been here anyways. I doubt he's even unpacked his boxes from moving.

I've been bored tonight and have been looking up rumors for other teams to try to get a better idea on who is going to be there for us. Here is what I have gathered. Falcons: Trade back, QB, or Pitts Bengals: Fans seem convinced they're taking Chase Phins: Can't find much on them. I saw a report that said they would rather not draft any prospects who did not play last season though. Lions: Fans are convinced they are drafting a receiver. Lots of reports of them wanting to trade back So at this point I think we have like a 50/50 shot at getting Sewell. Apparently a lot of teams at the top of the first are willing to skip on the top tackles and look to upgrade in the 2nd.

Ohio State and Alabama have at least one tier higher talent than everyone else every single year. Does Pat Mahomes suck because of his bad performance in the super bowl? Because he and Trevor Lawrence both just got beat up all game long by the opposing defense. If you put Trevor Lawrence on Alabama or Ohio State they probably win 4 straight.
-
You really don't get it. HE IS NEVER GOING TO DO THAT IN THE NFL BECAUSE NO NFL TEAMS HAVE THE MASSIVE TALENT ADVANTAGE THAT OHIO STATE DOES. He is not going to be just arm punting to wide open elite level wide outs. He is not going to have an elite offensive line every single game. He is not going to have an elite defense that bails him out during his bad games. There is a reason he is falling down draft boards.
-
I swear people only want him just because he's been hyped as the 2nd best QB for like a year now. There is a reason he is falling though, and that's because he has been greatly overrated. He played with elite talent and still underperformed. Ohio State QBs are always system babies. When you look at his highlights its mostly him just arm punting it to people who are wide ass open, which is not a good thing.
-
If he's already saying that just wait until he's been in Jacksonville for a few years.
-
I'm not impressed with any of the top corners, at least where we're picking.
-
Sam Darnold is at the least an equal prospect to Justin Fields, Trey Lance, and Mac Jones. He's also only ONE year older than Fields and Jones. If they're rolling the dice on a guy with obvious flaws then I'm glad it's with a 2nd rounder instead of a 1st.
-
I don't feel sorry for them at all. They got lucky and caught lightning in a bottle just like we did but they got even more lucky and actually got to win the big one. I've said it 1000 times, I don't care what comes after, if the Panthers just win ONE I'll be happy for life.

Personally I think its refreshing to have a QB who is not going to stir the pot.

Is it just me or do we hear a lot less from Rhule than we did Rivera?

Teams looking to trade up for quarterbacks
CanePantherHornet replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Sewell isn't there I think we're in a prime spot to trade back and still get a good OT. -
For me its, 1. Sewell 2. Trade back for Slater, USC OT, or CB 3. Stay put for Slater, USC OT, or CB I think Cincy would be dumb to not take Sewell but there are some reports that teams think this is a deep OT class and they can pick one up later.
-
Who do u want for our 1-6 draft picks now?
CanePantherHornet replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
The thought of Sewell makes my heart beat faster but I just don't see it happening. Cincy would be dumb to pass on him and I could see Detroit or Miami taking him as well. We'll most likely end up with Slater or Surtain which is sort of underwhelming considering the things we've been talking about on here for months. -
So, who has more pressure?
CanePantherHornet replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
You actually think that all of these rookies are going to be good lmao Everything past Lawrence is just as much of a dice roll as Sam Darnold is.
