The Golden Calf of Bristol has been released by the Jaguars. Should we take a look at him at QB? /s

Luke Kuechly in Buffalo Bills gear
CanePantherHornet replied to Carl Spackler's topic in Carolina Panthers
Some people vastly overrate how loved Sam Mills is among the fanbase. If he didn't have that speech he'd be in the same category as people like Mike Rucker and Josh Norman. -

If he ends up playing for Buffalo I might just quit watching football for a while. -
Rhule was trying to "hold" the lead today ?
CanePantherHornet replied to JABANOG's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm worried about Rhule at this point. The way that Brian Burns talked about him in that interview with Aquib Talib made it seem like the guys don't really respect him. -
Remember when the Hurndog said that Grier was the highest rated QB on their board?

Official Panthers at Colts Gameday Thread
CanePantherHornet replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
For all of the hand wringing over Phil Snow when he was hired, our defense has consistently looked better than our offense. -
I have never seen a guy get so wide open that he could jog backwards into the end zone

I hate the brand of football where everyone is a goody two shoes who claims they love and respect one another. I want my team to be like the Bears, Broncos, or Seahawks of recent memory where you absolutely dread having to face them because you know it's going to be a dog fight.

Monk never wanted to be here. I remember the night of the draft Calipari said he was disappointed because Malik didn't get to go to New York like he wanted. He was so sure he was going to the Knicks he was working out and staying there.

No starters will play Sunday vs the Colts

Last season showed how little the preseason matters. I don't recall any teams having any issues with sloppiness or whatever. -
Has there been any news about how Rashawn Slater is doing?

Is there anything worse than moving?
CanePantherHornet replied to Brooklyn 3.0's topic in Huddle Lounge
Last year I moved nearly everything I owned by myself in the middle of July heat. I had two days with a borrowed truck, and one day with an extra set of hands. I moved everything else via a Toyota Camry. My takeaway was that it is misery and its probably the best way to build muscle that I've ever come across. -
I missed some of the game so I didn't see that. The drive I saw he was staying in the pocket, setting his feet, and throwing high velocity darts. I don't think he ever went deep though and his shoulder always gets worse as the season goes on.

Cam is looking sharp.

We looked like poo in the joint practices with the Dolphins in 2015 too. Just saying. -

It sucks because I was really looking forward to seeing how Rhule compares to Rivera in coaching up players and just how the camp is run in general. -
The closest thing to a must-win game in years?
CanePantherHornet replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it's a must win for Sam Darnold's confidence. You've gotta think it would really give him a boost to exorcise those demons and stomp the Jets. -
Do you think these coaches only know about players once they're in college? Rhule has probably known about Fields since he was a sophmore in high school. and yes, that is not living up to expectations. With a roster as loaded as Ohio States you need to be winning heismans and championships. The Ohio State fans I know were always disappointed with him on the field.
-
Matt Rhule being a college coach probably knows Fields better than most. If he didn't want him, it was probably for good reason. He has the reputation of having all of the physical tools but never living up to that on the field. He was playing with elite talent and should have just steamrolled everyone. He gets jittery any time he feels pressure, has issues getting the ball to guys when they don't have separation, and often panics and doesn't go through his reads. The pro scouts were never as high on him as the media was because of all of these reasons.

His brother seems to hate our guts so I doubt he'd sign here anyways.

A whole lot of it depends on which team takes a guy. Pat Mahomes is amazing but do you really think he'd turn into what he is now if he ended up on the Jets? When you draft a guy you have to build around them and cater your system to them, just throwing them to the wolves and hoping for the best almost never works. We were very lucky we had Chud the first few years of Cam's career.

He can throw an absolute bomb sometimes, but this very well may be a Johnny Manziel situation where the QB gets too much credit because the WR was amazing.

The story is fun even if the performance is really bad. They refunded me and I got it for free though.
