You're unfortunately wrong. I get it you have beer goggles for Cam. But there were plenty of times his inaccuracy solely cost us games. The guy was just a terrible passer of the ball. He almost never hit guys perfectly in stride like Jake.

He was never elite. He was always around the 10th best in the world on average. Steve Beuerlein led the league in passing but I wouldn't have called him a top 5 QB either.

I didn't have expectations for Darnold this year. I was withholding judgement on him until he had something better than a wet paper towel in front of him. He's cheap enough to try and fix while looking for plan B. I was big on Minshew. I was big on Watson before the uncertainty I'm big on getting Russell Wilson if he wants out of Seattle. But none of those things mean I'm ready to burn Sam yet.

I never in a million years have said Sam is Cam or Jake. I was hoping with coaching and a line he could become Steve Beurlien. I'm just tired of people making Cam out to more than he was. A very very good football player.

Cam Newton isn't a hof qb. He wasn't ever a top 5 qb in the league He also wasn't even the best of his generation. He was a very good player for us but that's it.
