He stepped up at the end. TD. Strip Sack Big pressure with QB hit. Burns has never done that in crunch time.
-
Burns I hope you are watching Allen. That's how a defensive captain steps up in crunch time.
-
If that was a called play not sure I love it.
-
Absolutely not. Real teams stay classic.

Tomlin is overrated. Steelers fans have wanted him gone for a long time

Most Efficient Passing Game in the past 6 Weeks
Catsfan69 replied to Ghostface Chilla's topic in Carolina Panthers
You are stupid as phuck. The man had 2 min drive after 2 min drive. He wasn't game managing he was playing for a coach who said a punt is a good play. He sure as phuck didn't game manage in the 2003 playoffs setting a Superbowl Record for longest td pass and going 90 yards in about 2:20 to tie the game with a great td pass. You're doing way too many drugs. -
Are you watching the Panthers tomorrow

I have never missed a regular or postseason game in team history. I won't abandon them now. -

Look if Sam throws us inside the red zone and then we run it in you need to give him credit for that. There's nothing wrong with running it in. He throws a bomb while getting blasted with anticipation to DJ at the 8. That's how we got points. -

8 mil a year for 2 years with a chance to compete would be a good deal for the Panthers -

He hasn't struggled. The defense absolutely failed in both losses and Sam was the only thing that kept us in the game. It's like people don't have eyes. -

I've been preaching but people are blinded by hate. Sam is developing. He could improve as much next year as he did this year and if thar happens we are beyond set. -
That's right. It's just something that happened. If you play fundamentally sound football your chance of catastrophic injury ( some may consider CTE catastrophic) is pretty low. But the first time you put on a helmet there is a sticker that flat out says improper use can cause paralysis or death. Coaches (well good coaches emphasize this) Overall football is pretty safe. Hell the first 9 years I played that wouldn't give you water until practice was over. They'd yell water is for the weak. You won't get water on the field in the 4th quarter you won't get it now. Acclimate! And the time honored water is for pussies. Hell if a guy passed out from lack of water he was chastised back then. The equipment is better the treatment and medical is better.

When you include return yards and tds and rushing yards and TDs he widens his gap on tons of other guys. Plus his blocking. The only contemporary in the run game to rival him was Hines Ward. Hines and Steve were the two best blockers of his era.

This kid did nothing wrong. I can understand he would empathize but he shouldn't feel guilt. It was just one of those things.
-
They sure do. Sam Mills, Steve Smith, Michael Bates, Thomas Davis, Jake Delhomme, Luke Kuechly, Cmac You know what they all have in common? It doesn't matter the day, our situation, how they feel. They are going to give max effort everything they have on every play. It might not always work out but a guy any guy that leaves it all on the field is one you can depend on. I don't have much love for Ultimate Athletic Specimens that don't squeeze everything out of their ability or take plays off. So you're goddammed right if I think a guy based on talent is capable of 16 sacks a year and he only gets 11 I'm going to be down on him. If I can see fundamental flaws in his hands. Footwork and pad level you're right I'm going to be down on him. How that doesn't make sense to you I don't know but you really aren't a football person.
-
No I don't phuck him. I love the production of him and I think that production was worth more than what we got for him. I openly posted 2 firsts and a 2nd for Cmac minimum. We were offered that for Burns who has 20% the production of Cmac. Cmac probably has over 1500 yds again this year. And you're going to come back with Jagass Foreman doing OK. Well Foreman can't make something happen out of nothing sometimes. He can't hit home runs and sometimes a superstar can get you that extra score. No I don't love Cmac I love what he can produce for the Panthers. I haven't seen any of their games in a while

Look the honest to God reality is someone who states they are a casual fan, that they don't watch all the games and openly state they are going to watch another team on Sunday shouldn't have lord and dominion over people who have been diehards since day 1.
-
Well that's because you are a treasonous piece of excrement.

"We should have traded Burns" - a rebuttal
Catsfan69 replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Burns simply isn't that good. He doesn't have the effort. He doesn't have a burning desire to get to the QB like Watt and Bosa. Not trading him was stupid
