There’s no bigger impact of improvement for this team at 6 then taking a LT. As bad as Darnold is, Erving at his position was WORSE -

James Borrego / Matt Rhule…. Is their a worse 1-2 combo
TheBigKat replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
At least MJ did the right thing and got rid of Borrego -
I believe in David Tepper.... he wants to win and is willing to spend. He inherited a team that was out of gas, let's face it Cam was done, line was cooked, defense was old and moRON had run his course here with blank stares Did he make a huge MISS with Rhule, he sure did and he is eating his crow for it But the guy is not accepting of mediocrity and while he is eating crow two plates at a time, I do feel that he will be the best thing this franchise has ever had in terms of ownership and consistency model of excellence. You can blame him all you want about SC but at the end of the day what SC signed up for they aren't delivering, if anything it is he who has to eat all the costs of the development that he is walking away from. when you watch this video about him, you will understand the hell he went through to get where he got and I highly doubt he is going to let sleazy SC politicians get the best of him. Want to watch the definition of bad ownership? Pay attention to MJ's cheap ass and how he is about to let Bridges walk and we waste the talents of players like LaMelo in mediocrity

Bills Chiefs Ravens Steelers Patriots -
Of professional coaches in one city? JB is massively underachieving with his horrendous defensive philosophies, getting blown out two years in a row in the play in game and already wasted two years of LaMelo’s career. then there’s Matt Rhule

Panthers may now be hesitant to trade back...
TheBigKat replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
IF he's there at 6, you RUN to the podium in the same fashion you did when drafting Gross to draft this young man. If he's not there, trade back and get Gerber hands Pickett -
"There's no way in the world that we would ever want to move out of that Camden Yards complex," Bisciotti said. "I'm thrilled that the state is saying, 'Let's get ahead of this thing. We've got the money now, let's escrow it.' "To me, that's really the biggest news of this offseason. When that's there, and we can start planning how to grow into these next 30 years, it's big. It's big for me, personally. You might be stuck with me for a long time if we get to keep upgrading that stadium." https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/steve-bisciotti-hopes-ravens-stadium-lease-will-be-extended Even how he is handling the stadium issue, much different tune

It appears that David Teppah is wearing out his hedge fund welcome and even taken some low blows from a SC State Sentator. Many people are upset with him over Rhule and then fault him over Darnold. Personally, I still am mixed about Tepper (64), I think his biggest problem is he is applying his bullish hedge fund principles to NFL way of doing business and it is not going to work. If I had a vote in who he should model his ownership structure, it would be Steve Bisciotti (61), owner of the Ravens. Also a self made billionaire who came from humble beginnings. I just like the way the Ravens are managed and that team thrives in the Baltimore market which is smaller market size than Charlotte. He had Ozzie Newsome as his GM for 16 seasons, they then transitioned to Eric DeCosta. John Harbaugh was a home run hire for Bisciotti in the early days Harbaugh led the Ravens to the franchise's second Super Bowl title following a 34-31 win over the 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. Under Harbaugh's watch, the Ravens have secured nine playoff berths, four AFC North division titles and three AFC Championship Game appearances. Harbaugh is three wins away from passing Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy for 26th all-time in regular season wins. He is one of just 18 coaches in NFL history with at least 10 postseason victories. Harbaugh's .609 regular season winning percentage is the 33rd-highest mark in league annals, while his .579 postseason winning percentage is tied for the 28th highest mark in NFL history. Baltimore isn't some mega market, you won't hear the owner or his team on the news much but they field a competitive team and have a great fanbase, their stadium is just 3 years newer than ours and their stadium is nestled right in the city like ours. While the easy answer is Steelers model of ownership, I just think our market and age of our franchise can be more closely modeled to Baltimore than Pittsburgh.

"When the Carolina Panthers agreed to build their headquarters in Rock Hill, the city agreed to pay $20 million and issue bonds for much more. On March 8, WBTV confirmed with a city of Rock Hill spokeswoman that those bonds were never issued" I just can't comprehend why this concept is difficult to grasp. Rock Hills / SC wanted this complex, they gave Tepper a great deal, nobody forced them to do that. Then they don't come through their end of the agreement and this is somehow Tepper's fault? Blame Tepper for Rhule Blame Rhule for Darnold But don't blame Tepper for SC shady politics

Tepper is a hedge fund manager, his job and his obligations are to make money for his shareholders not be "Delphi's Angel" of piss poor management. Now that he has a family office and not a traditional hedge shop, the money he earns is solely for himself. News flash, hedge people are not noble knights. Read about the accomplishments of Carl Icahn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Icahn they reek of ethics but he sure as hell knew how to make money for the people who invested in him

Would you put it past Tepper to move the team?
