  1. A Top 10 pick has to be a sure thing in my book. None of these QBs are sure things, but you risk it for Stroud if he falls (he won't). Young is the best QB in this Draft, but he's literally smaller than Murray. Levis I don't get the hype about at all and Richardson needs to sit at least a year.
  2. Sign Carr, take the BPA at #9 (or trade down) and hope that Richardson is there at #39 so you can groom him for 2 years. We need to come out of this Draft with another receiving threat to compliment Moore / Marshall and another pass rushing threat - I assume we're going to a 3-4.
  3. Carr has multiple suitors - there's no way he's going to agree to that.
  4. Yes, he had the OC title. He didn't call the plays - that was Mark Richt.
  5. The point is - we're talking about what a great staff Reich is assembling, yet he's hired an OC that has never called plays before. Like, not once in a 10 year coaching career. I'm well aware that Caldwell and Reich have been OCs before (I'm not sure whether Caldwell ever called his own offence) and of course Frazier was the interim-OC for the Colts when Reich was fired so there is experience on the staff - it's just an odd hire for me.
  6. It pays well, thanks for asking.
  7. As a Miami Hurricanes fan I can tell you that he didn't call a single play for the Canes. That was Mark Richt's offence. Does anyone research these guys at all?
  8. An OC that has never called plays - bold strategy, Cotton.
  9. What happened to the Huddle's 'no retreads' policy?
  10. Sweet, it suits both parties then.
  11. The 49ers wouldn't have traded 3 first round picks for Lance if they had Carr.
  12. I think for me we went conservative with the Head Coach hire. I'm not sure why you'd start gambling now with a trade for Jackson (I doubt he becomes available) or a trade up when the safe bet it is to just sign Derek Carr - and keep him out of New Orleans in the process.
  13. I'm never willing to say 'never' when it comes to NFL teams, especially when they're hunting QBs. I'd be loathe to give up a haul though - just don't see the talent this year for that.
  14. Oooh, or Panthers sign four-time Pro Bowler Derek Carr and use the #9 pick to increase the talent on the roster. Yes please.
  15. As amazing as Frank Gore and Edgerrin James were (two Hall of Famers), Willis McGahee was the most freakish of the bunch. That knee injury was a literal career ender for someone less athletic - how he managed to have a successful NFL career after that I'll never know.
  16. If he's there at #9 you probably take him (assuming you don't sign Carr in FA), but you absolutely don't move up for him. If you put his brain / skillset in Stroud's body, Chicago would be pawning Fields off to whoever wanted to take him 'cos that #1 pick would be locked down.
  17. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's less highly thought of at Ohio St than Fields was, right? He was available at #9.
  18. You aren't signing Carr then drafting a first round QB in 2023. He's 32 in March - he gives you 4 years of high level play to find your franchise QB. It's a no brainer if he's interested.
  19. I hope people are taking into account that Herbert and Allen were both playing with serious injuries this season. Joe Burrow Josh Allen Justin Herbert Lamar Jackson Jalen Hurts Trevor Lawrence Tua Tagovaiola
  20. Richardson isn't in Newton's league.
  21. The best QB and offensive play caller in the NFL both came out after half time and put on a clinic. Nothing choking about that.
  22. Coulda had him too, but noooooo we picked a RB instead. It's painful watching great QB play - just absolutely changes the game for that team.
  23. So you're saying if we shoot up Darnold he'll play like this? Worth a try.
