Absolutely bonkers to design the offseason appointments around Young.
-
Imagine drafting Bryce Young and then getting promoted. Talk about failing upwards.

NFL Playoffs Divisional Round - Games Thread

Time to watch Mayfield poo the bed. -
Doesn't Zac Taylor call the plays in Cincinnati?

So What Are We Doing About the Offensive Line During This Offseason?

CJ Stroud? One that is tall enough to see over the iOL, has the arm to make every NFL throw and has the footwork to navigate the pocket. -
Pretty confident its gonna be Dan Morgan GM

You also don't tend to sack your first year head coach 11 games into the season, or trade 5 premium players for a 5'10" noodle armed choir boy... so y'know, who knows how it works anymore. -

I think step 1 should be putting an NFL QB behind it.- 42 replies

Sometimes the answer isn't on the roster (or in the building). It should be a clean slate - including every single scout.
-
So was he lying to our faces then when he said this roster was better than last year? He's either disingenuous or incompetent. Neither are traits I want in someone working for the Panthers.

"Hi Dan, welcome in. Ok, first question - explain to me the thought process behind trading 5 premium players for the biggest bust in NFL history". I'm a Miami Hurricanes fan (a bigger one of those than I am a Carolina Panthers fan) and I have his Panthers jersey - if I'm saying he needs to leave and rebuild his career that's something.

He went to Alabama - their S&C programme wouldn't look out of place in the NFL.

If You Could Choose ANY Head Coach... Who?
OldhamA replied to Jay Roosevelt's topic in Carolina Panthers
With a loaded roster. -
It genuinely must be killing Belichick that everyone now equates his success to Brady - and frankly it's difficult to argue otherwise. Obviously a good HC, but without Brady he's never been elite. If he signs with the Falcons, good luck to them. He's 72 and his powers have clearly waned. It's not something that would scare me as a Panthers fan.

Head Coach Preference - Round 2 (January 19, 2024)
OldhamA replied to Evil Hurney's topic in Carolina Panthers
Evero for both - the one co-ordinator that has shined at this dysfunctional franchise. (Snow wasn't bad either, but he was like 80) Go with the devil you know. He's equally as inexperienced as the hot OC candidates. -
Hey, maybe if he could throw the ball accurately beyond 10 yards he might have done.
-
There was speculation that the coaches we interviewed were the ones interested. i.e. they back channelled everyone and didn't extend an interview invite out to those who weren't interested to save public embarrassment. No way Harbaugh or Belichick want this job.
-
Any GM / HC that doesn't start the interview with "we have to move on from Bryce Young" should be escorted out of the building.
-
How do you know it's not the other way round/ Maybe they don't want to interview for us - we're not a quick fix.
-
The Chargers have a franchise QB. Nobody else on the list does - that's the top job (unless you're super confident in Washington that Williams / Maye is just as good).
-
Don't do Ted like that - he was great at what he did.
-
Let's also not act like the Panthers had a bad OL.

The fact the Eagles Head Coach could get fired after leading them to three consecutive playoff berths (including losing in a Super Bowl) is mad to me - but there's clearly something wrong in that locker room. They gave up tonight.
