His biggest issue is his lack of athleticism (which includes arm strength)., closely followed by his fundamentals. Consensus #1 overall pick, apparently.

Since the panthers.com bot is banned: Dan Morgan Speaks
OldhamA replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's never going to happen, but I wish they'd address the elephant in the room. Instead it's all about "trying to build around Bryce". Doomed to fail I fear. -
Athletic projection for #33as of March 21
OldhamA replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Best. Player. Available. Our roster is awful, don't reach for positions. If the BPA at #33 is clearly an OT you take him (I chose OT as the example 'cos we have two highly paid ones and you can't easily shift Ikey inside anymore with our recent FA acquisitions). -
Cos he's bounced around 5 teams in the last 5 years. The sad thing is - he's better than Young.
-
He's not a 'dawg' though. Charmin' soft.

Must be an Australian thing. We were always taught "man and ball". You wrap up high to stop the offload.

They're super duper worried about injuries - but still don't outlaw turf. Makes sense.

We spent a top 10 pick on McCaffrey and gave him a huge (early) contract extension. He was in the same situation as Burns - a star player who didn't fancy playing for this franchise anymore. We got pennies on the dollar for both.

#1 overall pick that we traded the world for and they have to hide him. I hope Fitterer never works in football again / becomes the GM of our most hated rival.
-
It was still too expensive even for Stroud (and what he's turned out to be [so far]). We gave up sooooooo much.

I think every player on defence got bigger and faster, yes. You're playing against the College All-Stars of each recruiting class for the past decade in the NFL. He probably came across 2-3 future NFL players per game (and they were nowhere near the finished article) in the SEC. It's night and day - and it's shown on the field.
-
I don't know how he's doing (cos who in their right mind watches the MLS?), but they hired a really good manager last time.

Or buy your mother a mansion in whatever state you're currently playing in.

*Allegedly. The glove didn't fit.
-
Although he won't have to chase him very far.

You don't pay Purdy or Tua top-level money. You're mad if you do.
-
I assume he's done in the NFL after his stint as a GM here.

BREAKING: Giants looking to trade for Brian Burns
OldhamA replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hell, half of Burns' sacks came against TEs. Mainly because OCs spent half the game single blocking him with a TE and getting away with it.- 543 replies

Day drinking on the weekend. Fair play.

I think he just really wants to continue getting paid. $3m is more than $0.

He won the Dick Butkus, Bronko Nagurski and Chuck Bednarik Awards in 2000 - he was literally the best defensive player in College. Saying he wasn't as good as Kuechly is a ridiculously high bar. Kuechly wasn't elite, he was first ballot HoF standard. Morgan was an excellent player and talent, he just sadly couldn't stay healthy in the NFL.
