  1. So I have a rating scale for QBs - 1-10. Prescott is similar to Newton - he's a 7 (borderline 8). A guy you can win a lot of games with, but he's never going to consistently push his team to the next level. He's also too good to easily move on from - you're kinda in limbo with the guy if you can't build the rest of the team around him. Tonight Prescott has struggled to get off his first read a lot - it's very limiting.
  2. As I keep on saying, in College you drop the biggest bags for QBs, DTs and CBs. It's a passing league, you have to have multiple CBs that can turn and run with 3/4 WR sets. Rhule / Fitterer get it - you can't hide behind soft zones and a good pass rush in the NFC South.
  3. The Antonio Brown addition for the Bucs was sick, even if he shouldn't be in the league.
  4. I mean Arians is 18-14 with the Bucs. They just got hot at the right time last year.
  5. For all the hype Prescott gets - he's an inaccurate deep ball thrower (at least tonight).
  6. "I didn't realise Stafford was a good player".
  7. Thompson is a guy I'd have let walk when his contract was up. NFL LB body, but he's always played second fiddle (third fiddle when TD was here) to someone. He was outshone early last year by Chinn (playing a Striker role) and late on by Carter (a 6th round pick). He's a really disappointing player for mine - crazy he's a team captain.
  8. I don't feel good about our LB corps at all, but I do love having Chinn at S. He'll be a nightmare to gameplan against there and he's a game breaker.
  9. Yep, very much a 'welcome to the NFL, rook' game for him so far.
  10. Dislocated elbow they reckon - so he's out for half the season.
  11. Fingers crossed, he's on my Fantasy team (yes I'm going to be that guy this year )
  12. If you don't move him off his spot he'll murder you. That's always been the case. He's never really had a great fastball so he's not had much to lose off it.
  13. LOL, Brady to Fournette "Right here! (pointing to a spot next to him) Right here!" Dude's a 5 year veteran and still doesn't know where to line up.
  14. It's 1:30am and I have to catch a train to Liverpool at 7:30am for an all-day, all-staff meeting. I may have a problem.
  15. I've got him in a deep Dynasty league. He doesn't start for me, but he's nice depth to have. They'll rotate heavily I think - even Bernard would be an interesting pickup as he'll be the primary 3rd down back I reckon.
  16. I used to hate him, now it's nothing but respect.
  17. One thing I've noticed watching Wilson this pre-season - and it was highlighted just now in the two snippets from a press conference (one of Darnold, one of Wilson): he's fuging tiny, isn't he? I don't think he'll last the beating the NFL will put on him.
  18. It will be a little galling for Darnold when he walks out of the tunnel on Sunday, glances over at the Jets sideline and sees the following new editions for their Mormon Superstar: Morgan Moses - OT Michael Carter - RB (2nd round pick) Keenan Cole - WR Corey Dais - WR Alijah Vera-Tucker - OG (1st round pick) Elijah Moore - WR (2nd round pick) As I keep on saying, the Jets did Darnold dirty - his #1 WR is now their #3/4 WR. They literally couldn't win without him - 0-10 in games he didn't start I believe. I'm glad they traded Herndon away - he deserved better too.
  19. Wilson and Jones came out of nowhere. Lance was a height / weight / speed prospect they fell in love with two years ago. Every year there's a first round QB to gamble your pick on if you want to!
  20. Yes, cos there's definitely not another 30 guys after those 22 starters on the roster. They NEVER play.
  21. Looking at the pre-season performance in a bubble - those short throws? That's what the offence is all about. It attacks you horizontally with short, quick passes to move the chains. THEN it hits you over the top once you overcompensate. We've seen it for over a decade in New Orleans. Darnold is a gunslinger with poor footwork. They're addressing the footwork, but it's an ongoing process. They've clearly got him to buy into the system - stop playing hero ball, take what the defence is giving you and trust that the Sexy Rexy plays will come naturally. Bridgewater did the first part extremely well, which is why he had 3 1k WRs. He didn't do the second part well - he wouldn't pull the trigger enough - which is why they moved on from him (and because I think he's a toxic personality).
