  1. He's not going to make plays that aren't there at this level (he did in HS and College), so if you put him behind a bad Oline he's going to struggle running the ball. That said, if the play IS there to be made he exploits it - which accounts for the boom or bust nature of some of his carries. Ignore the avatar for a moment - to me has has excellent feet and vision, great hands for the position and good (but not breakaway) speed. He's not the monster athlete you want as your starting RB (he's not going to run people over very often), which is why I think he's always been relegated to 3DRB duties as he's versatile af, but the skill / talent has always been there to be a solid RB1 to me. Who knows if we sign him - having Dan Morgan on staff won't hurt his chances. He's a better back right now than Hubbard, put it that way (unless he's had a significant injury I'm unaware of).
  2. Sadly Arnold doesn't strike me as a high-pointer. I thought that was what we were getting, but he's a finesse TE who plays smaller than his listed size.
  3. Why has Adam Gase been the Head Coach of two different NFL franchises?
  4. Averages 5 yards a carry. Nearly 5k career all-purpose yards and 20 TDs. I've never been able to understand why he's not been used more in the NFL. I don't think we'll sign him, because life isn't that fair, but I think he's a brilliant player.
  5. This 10 day stretch gives the coaching staff a little longer to get Christensen, Brown and Jordan up to speed. The play of the iOL is unacceptable right now. I can't imagine they're not going to be testing the waters on a lineup change during this break.
  6. Oooooph, no, but there's been a marked improvement in his play this year. I don't know if Snow is asking him to do less, but he's making more plays on the field this year. Davis was an All-Pro LB. You're doing him a disservice with this thread title. I'd argue he's the third best LB to ever play for the franchise... and there's a big gap between the three guys on the podium and everyone else (Kuechly, Morgan, Davis).
  7. That 30 yard completion to Tremble got me excited. Our offence has been missing that for years.
  8. You've clearly not been watching Paradis play. Hell, Moton was abused last night too.
  9. Liked Darnold stepping up and winning the game for us. Disliked the Horn injury. If I can't dislike an injury, then my backup answer is I disliked how lost we were for a quarter without McCaffrey (although we regrouped in the second half).
  10. Think that's enough to silence some of the "it'd be unprecedented for him to turn into a good NFL QB after those first three years in NY" doubters?
  11. He's our deep threat this year and the Oline hasn't provided Darnold with much time to go deep. He'll see more targets now McCaffrey is out for a while. No biggie.
  12. Sam Darnold without a doubt.
  13. No RB? No Oline? No problem. Toxic Teddy doesn't win that game tonight.
  14. Five guys that weren't on the team last year - 6 if you include Arnold's clutch first down. This staff / FO can evaluate talent. That's more than half the battle.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if we try out some punters during this 11 day break.
  16. We'll see. Literally zero film on him and we didn't have much time to scheme anything up for him. Looks the part physically though - big, strong QB with a good arm.
  17. Brady made some great halftime adjustments. Also fun fact, almost everyone that contributed on O in the second half wasn't on the team last year.
  18. There's a quote from Jacob Tamme who was on that record setting 2014 Broncos team. He said they were instructed never to extend the ball over the goalline - the risks outweighed the rewards.
  19. LOL on these obvious run plays where we have 2TEs in the receivers are Zylstra and Marshall. Way to telegraph that you're running the ball.
