You think he only has a good deep ball and running ability? Interesting...
-
You don't think he's good at processing defences? Interesting.

I think it'll be Stroud.

Well firstly, you have to look at recruiting classes - Ohio St, Alabama and Georgia are absolutely stacked - everyone else is playing for 4th place: We're talking about a QB going #1 overall - everyone has brought up Newton today. He dragged an Auburn team with (I think) 1 other first round pick on the roster to a National Championship. Georgia just won back-to-back National Championships with a 25 year old walk on who's likely to get drafted on Day 3. So yes I think it's worth discussing 'what have Stroud and Young won'? If they're worthy of the #1 overall pick, surely they've elevated their ridiculously stacked teams, right? More so than said 25 year old walk on? With regards to your final point, I think there's a legitimate chance that Richardson completely eclipses Young and Stroud in the league.

Because evidently Daboll is a pretty decent coach and limited Jones' mistakes.
-
I'd argue Allen was throwing with a partially torn UCL nerve in his elbow this year.
-
It's the first thing you fix as his QB Coach. And he can throw it that well without the laces because he's got massive hands.
-
Lance played on the Alabama of his level. He was throwing to receivers who didn't have anyone within 10 yards of them - I knew he'd struggle to transition to the NFL.
-
You seem to be ignoring his game tape because you simply prefer another prospect.
-
Newton was at his best with Chudzinski...
-
The problem with Newton is that he didn't develop as a player.
-
As a backup?

I mean what have Young or Stroud won in College?
-
I think 'very good' is a stretch. We've gone from the 32nd WR corps to somewhere in the bottom 10-15, but at least the new QB has a chance now.

As the starting QB for OSU there's no way that's a rental. -
Super Bowl champion and 3 time MVP Brett Favre? I'll take that, thanks.

He was pretty freakin' athletic (basically a hair less athletic than Cam Newton).
-
He had Andrew Luck.

If we're playing this game: I think Richardson is the HR swing. I think Stroud is the line drive double.
-
Probably, but Richardson is the only one that excites me from this QB Draft class. It'll be telling if they arrange a post Pro Day meal or not with him.
-
Newton ran a completely different offence at Auburn, one that highlighted the absolute mismatch he was in the run game. Florida asked Richardson to drop back and read the coverage far more. I see why people lazily compare them, because they're both athletic freaks, but I think they're wildly different QBs.

Maybe it's because he was coached by Sunbelt Billy and surrounded by awful talent in Gainesville? I suspect that's why he bolted to the NFL after one season as the starter.
