  1. The Panthers cost him $2.275bn. He's rich, but he didn't buy them just for a run-down stadium to play 'soccer' in.
  2. They haven't left themselves with a viable alternative. Dalton is completely washed. Hooker is bad. Short of trading for a QB I think they just let him play out the season, sadly.
  3. The one where he was swallowed up in the pocket and barely got the ball past the line of scrimmage was startling.
  4. I genuinely don't know where the next win is coming from. 5 wins is ambitious.
  5. Frank Gore says hi. Willis McGahee says hi.
  6. I think you have to give Draft picks at least two years to know what you've got: Legette is looking like a bust Brooks is unfortunate - with modern medicine he should have been fine Wallace is struggling Sanders can play Smith-Wade is mediocre Crumedy... is on the roster? Barrett got us Mike Jackson Not exceptional, but if someone else besides Sanders can contribute it's not a cripplingly bad haul.
  7. They should have locked the doors and started pumping Zyklon B into the room at that point.
  8. So three first round picks on a QB, but the OLine and the running game has to be dominant for him to succeed? Make it make sense. That's how you handle a career journeyman, a game manager you bring off the bench when the starter goes down.
  9. I am actually living in an alternate reality. I must be. How does this fuger keep getting positive reviews and support from media outlets, teammates, ex-players etc? This is an in-joke that we as Panthers fans aren't partial to, right? This was his 30th start on Sunday. He's looked awful in 28 of them. He put his team in a 10 point hole on Sunday - no-one else threw that INT or fumbled the ball on a routine hit. fug off with his garbage time stats - the Cards played Prevent for 30 minutes. When the ball bounced our way at the end and the game was on the line they simply dialled up the pressure again and he folded like the bitch he is.
  10. Let's compare his stats to our Practice Squad's stats at the end of the year then talk.
  11. Evaluating quarterbacks is incredibly complex, which is why we see so many busts. It’s a combination of factors, and even then, you're trying to project how someone will evolve under pressure in a system that may not suit them. At a fundamental level, a QB has to clear a baseline of physical and mental traits. Bryce Young, for example, doesn’t convincingly clear either. Physically, you need size, arm strength and functional accuracy. Mentally, you need processing speed, adaptability, and the ability to operate under pressure. Even if a QB is in the wrong scheme - Rich Gannon in an Air Coryell system, for instance - you should still see flashes that indicate he’s an NFL-caliber quarterback. Scheme fit is one of two key factors that can elevate a QB’s performance. The other is how they mentally approach the game. And that’s the hardest part to quantify during the draft process. The elite QBs know where every player—offence and defence—is supposed to be on any given play, and they can adjust when things break down. The very best are obsessive about film study and mechanics. Brady flew in his personal QB coach during the season to fine-tune his footwork. Brees completely rebuilt his throwing motion after shoulder surgery. That level of dedication separates the good from the great.
  12. The D is bottom third in the league, talent wise - we're lacking talent at LB and at S. I bet that's where we'll rank come the end of the season. I think you're being disingenuous with your Young take. This was his THIRTIETH start. He's the same guy that ran out there against the Falcons in 2023.
  13. Guess I'm the only one that thought the D played well today. The Cards were just repeatedly targeting Rozeboom and Scott - short of just benching them for rookies I don't know what Evero is meant to do there. He dialled up a perfect blitz on that Murray 30 yard scramble and Rozeboom just whiffed. Should have been a 15 yard loss, drive over. Jimmy's and Joe's, ladies and gentlemen.
  14. This bad? Young gave the Cards 10 points today.
  15. I think putting a competent player at QB improves our team tremendously. Is that considered a quick fix? I was one of those vehemently against trading up and I was apoplectic when they picked Young over Stroud AFTER making that moronic trade.
  16. Waaaaaait - GameDay next week is Miami v Florida?
  17. Miami 49 - 12 USF, which begs the question - how bad are Florida and LSU?!
  18. Who's the QB in this Draft that's going to ride in on a white horse and save the franchise? I'd just like to compete. You can't compete with Young.
  19. I love how people are just willing to throw away ANOTHER season.
  20. I wouldn't want Klubnik on my NFL team that's for damn sure.
  21. Oregon look streets ahead of the pack - best team money can buy.
  22. He accepted the job, like Canales, under the premise that he'd commit to Young as the QB. Both Morgan and Canales are underqualified for their current roles - and quite frankly I don't think anyone else wanted the jobs with the said remit of committing to Young. He's doing his best with his hands tied - but yes he's clearly not a great GM.
