  1. I would pay good money to lock prime Smith in a locker room with Young for a season.
  2. Yeah that Colts team has been built correctly - which is OP's point. Our D was stripped back to the studs last year to pump everything into O to help Young out. He failed. We actually brought in some NFL talent in the offseason on D and look at the difference in results. We need to continue to stay the course and build through the Draft and look for a competent QB in FA.
  3. I was going to say - which established coach is going to take the job if you fire Canales after improving the team year on year? Tepper has fired Rivera, Reich and Rhule already. If you fire Canales when he has a Bryce Young led team at .500 then you might as well let ChatGPT call plays.
  4. I have a working theory that part of the reason Hooker and White are no longer around is because they were showing up Young in practice. They can actually zip the ball - Dalton and Young can't. It will have stood out like a sore thumb.
  5. I'd be happy to buy very low on Richardson, like a 5th round pick, but I'd absolutely sit him next year and work on his footwork. Lord knows what the Colts are going to do with him - they've already ruined him.
  6. That was a very technical catch and we've already discussed that he's raw as a WR. Early in his career, while he's developing, he's meant to get the ball on jet sweeps, drags, slants etc - i.e. extended handoffs. He's already shown he can take the top off a defence and he can make difficult catches. He wasn't worth the 1st round pick, but there's clearly a lot of talent there.
  7. I don't think the QB room was Morgan's call.
  8. Canales' playbook calls for far more deep shots than Young can execute. We have guys running wide open downfield every game - he can't see them and he definitely can't hit them.
  9. Way too much emphasis in the NFL and College is put on coaching. All coaches make mistakes. All coaches call good plays. At the end of the day Jimmy Johnson's quote is undefeated: It's the Jimmys and Joes, not the Xs and Os.
  10. I think it helps a great deal. We can't currently run the full playbook.
  11. He learned everything he knows from a guy that won a National Title and a Super Bowl...
  12. Sadly we had to pay the sucks tax to retain him.
  13. Screens and draws into a stacked box?
  14. Can he be blamed for his poor throws? Y'know the ones that if he could complete them the D would back off from stacking the box. Or is that a coaching problem too? The INT that was called back for roughing the passer - awful. The INT he actually threw - awful. The pass behind a wide open T-Mac in the middle of the field - awful.
  15. I think if Horn doesn't fall over twice we might still be playing.
  16. Sounds like QB is the problem.
  17. Unfortunately Dalton is worse and that's unfair on the rest of the team. Roll with White.
  18. The game is 10-7. It's the 3Q. The D has just sacked the opposing QB on 4th down for a turnover on downs on our own 40. The running game has been neutralised all day, but there's enough time left to score and take the game away from the Saints. What does Young do? Throw one of the worst INTs I've ever seen. An absolute back breaker of a turnover. He's awful. Absolutely awful. A net negative player at the most important position in sports.
  19. He's the absolute heartbeat of our D. He's a great player - and if someone is offering you magic beans for him then you absolutely take him.
  20. Do you know why the defence is good enough to win now with an even remotely competent QB? I'll give you a hint, he wears #95.
  21. If I had a top 5 pick and the Panthers offered me their superstar DT I'd call that trade into NFL HQ so fast your head would be spinning.
