  1. Not with instant pressure in the A gap that's for sure.
  2. He might be, but he's also 5'10 and about 180lbs. I'm loathe to risk it on someone that small.
  3. Mahomes changed his throwing motion? Allen, they worked on his footwork - the same thing that COULD have fixed Darnold, y'know, before we sacrificed him behind the worst OLine in the NFL.
  4. Durable is not a word I'd associate with Burns.
  5. Anyone that says the Panthers are rebuilding should be slapped in the face by whoever they're talking to. We need a QB, otherwise this is a good roster (that can obviously be improved upon, as can every roster in the NFL). Also it's still a loss as McCaffrey is a HoF talent that we traded away cheaply.
  6. Funny you make that post with an avatar mocking Darnold - dude wasn't given a hope in hell behind our OLine last year.
  7. The Kentucky OC is a McVay disciple and Mark Stoops runs a fantastic program there. Give over with that nonsense.
  8. Somehow Jose Borregales is sat at home and Eddy P is still the Panthers kicker. We're tanking, fellas.
  9. I feel like I'm being gaslit by this fanbase.
  10. You mean the side of the ball Wilks is known for and the unit he fired Snow from to hand over to his mate? Funny, that.
  11. I'm confused - isn't PJ Walker, former starting QB for Temple, a Rhule guy? Man, you all love to cherry pick what you attribute to Rhule. He's a bad NFL Head Coach, but he's assembled a .500 roster in 2 years - the roster when he got here was absolutely awful. Sadly nobody is going to give him any credit for that.
  12. Sounds too like Rhule completely soured on Darnold like he soured on Bridgewater. I didn't think Mayfield won the pre-season battle and I'm yet to be proven wrong.
  13. Nah, a 'franchise QB' is one you're not actively looking to upgrade on year-on-year. There's only a handful of 'best player on the team' QBs in the league - they're not franchise QBs, they're MVPs.
  14. I count 8 QBs you'd be very happy to hang your hat on there (Smith, Newton, Luck, Burrow, Lawrence, Ryan, Stafford and Murray) with several more that are considerably better than what we currently have on the roster. So no, it's not the surefire way to solve the problem, but it helps. As always correctly evaluating and developing talent trumps draft order.
  15. Matt Cassel is the king of this particular game. He's pushed close by Matt Schaub though.
  16. I don't think he was talent acquisition wise - this roster is in a much better place than where he found it, but clearly his College coaching methods don't work on millionaires.
  17. He literally doesn't want to coach. He's certainly not coming back to be a TE Coach.
  18. He isn't calling plays because he doesn't want to call plays. From people that know him on the Miami Hurricanes board, he's happy in his current role.
