  1. If we offer a first round pick for a 39 year old QB, just fold the fuging franchise.
  2. I'd rather not have Brissett under any circumstances - I don't see the point. Carr gives you a quality starting option for 3 years while you find 'the guy'. Brissett just clogs up the roster.
  3. An apples to apples comparison - one has been a starter for the entirety of his NFL career, the other has been a journeyman backup.
  4. You're a legend in your own lunchtime that's for sure.
  5. He should be cheaper than Carr, he's thrown for 169 less TDs and 24,872 less yards than Derek.
  6. Apparently he wants $35m a year, so that rules us out you'd think: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/02/25/report-derek-carr-wants-35-million-per-year/
  7. I don't understand why they'd sell for $7bn. What makes the franchise so valuable?
  8. I think if you get the green light on him from your psychologists / coaches - whoever analyses his drive / coachability then you could convince yourself to take him over Young and Stroud. Takes a brave GM to do that though considering their relative production in College.
  9. Corral has accuracy issues on his deep balls - he literally changes his throwing motion to throw the ball deep.
  10. I don't see Stroud, Young or Levis running for an 80 yard TD against LSU. You're got a serious hate boner against him, and I respect that, but please.
  11. I was going to say - isn't the aim of the game to win the SuperBowl?
  12. I think the vast majority of College coaches, especially position coaches, are looking to get to the NFL.
  13. By separating it out you're trying to diminish what he is. As the total package he's the most athletically gifted QB in this Draft - great size, the biggest arm, the fastest and most elusive runner. He's a complete projection, but so is every QB. With regards to your "Can he run it? Yep. Cool." btw - the only reason why Hurts is worth spit in the NFL is because he's a threat with his legs.
  14. He's a Redshirt Senior. He's currently 23, he'll be 24 by the time the season starts. With regards to the other stuff, it depends which analyst you ask.
  15. He's going to be all about the interviews and comparing early season to late season tape. He'll have to show marked improvement as the season progressed and a driven / coachable attitude. He has a long way to go, but he has the best tools in the Draft at QB and he's already making plays despite being so raw.
  16. We traded two first round picks for Sean Gilbert (which I think turned into Champ Bailey and LaVar Arrington), so this doesn't even register.
  17. See I think he's the ideal OLB in a 3-4. Line him up and just ask him to rush the passer and / or drop into zone / man - simplify the game for him and let him use his athleticism off the edge. He doesn't have the instincts to play ILB imo.
  18. Even if you're damn sure, good luck surrounding him with talent the next three years.
  19. He's thrown for 35k yards in his career with a 2-1 TD-INT ratio (with over 200TDs). So yeah, he's proven he's a pretty damn good NFL QB.
  20. The same reason the Broncos cut bait with Cutler. There aren't 32 people currently walking the planet that can play QB in the NFL to a competent level. This whole 'retread' narrative is ridiculous. Carr is a proven commodity.
