  1. They want a first round pick, or a high second round pick plus a player. He's not as good as the WR we've just traded away.
  2. If it was a smoke screen they'd be stating that the Panthers are enamoured with Young, as that's the guy the Texans want (allegedly). With regards to trading up for a project - the Draft is about 5 years from now, not just this season. They may think that Stroud's ceiling is limited, Young maxed out in College and Richardson is the next franchise QB off the conveyor belt - who actually knows.
  3. This is why we have the Draft and the same teams keep picking high.
  4. We don't really have enough ammunition for another trade.
  5. I wonder if we'll be aggressive and trade back into the 1st round for a WR.
  6. I hope it's just bullshit - no way you trade that much and don't have a guy you want. You can't second guess yourself here, this is such a massive trade to get wrong.
  7. I mean sure? Two inconsequential players, but you die on that hill.
  8. Flies into Charlotte: "Yo, you gonna pay me fug you money? No? Ok, peace out".
  9. I'd think he's a psychopath if he can go out there and perform at 100% when he's being investigated for a car crash that killed someone. Each to their own though.
  10. It's almost like he's currently embroiled in a legal dispute and his mind his elsewhere. If he's there in the second round you run to the podium.
  11. I follow his Twitter account - they post clips on there. He's good for those 2-6 minute clips. I couldn't watch an entire show though.
  12. Nah, Stroud has played with multiple first round WRs. Like Burrow during that LSU year, all he's done is hit the open guy. You can't really knock him or ask more of him because he operates within the confines of the system - he just happened to be surrounded by tons of talent. What's going to sell them on Stroud's ceiling is how he does in chalkboard sessions and the feedback they get from the background checks. He checks all the physical boxes (you'd like a stronger arm, but it's good enough), so it's whether he's got the right mental make-up. Is he a driven competitor? Can he dissect his own plays and tell you what he was thinking when he threw that pass? Same goes for Richardson I feel - although you're projecting more cos you're relying on your coaches being able to improve his mechanics (and no he doesn't have to be as accurate as Stroud to succeed in the NFL).
  13. I found it interesting that Ryan Leaf had Stroud and Young as first rounders with Richardson and Levis as toolsy second rounders that you're doing no favours to if you draft them in the first.
  14. You'd have to pay me a lot to leave the Bengals tbh. I'd want one of the best QBs in the league throwing me the ball if I was a skill position player.
  15. I don't know about our cap, but it would do wonders for my mental health.
  16. He goes on there every Tuesday during the regular season.
  17. Why is it weird? He was too small / weak to play as a G. As a C that double teamed the DT though I thought he was good.
  18. PJ Walker is terrible, he can't be here next year.
  19. There's no farm left to trade I'm afraid.
  20. You're hoping. JT even says he doesn't see Stroud demonstrating the playmaking ability you look for. He's shown he can do it, but it doesn't come naturally to him like it does Young.
  21. If you want to know how bad this WR market is - not a single one has signed in FA on day 1 with all these mammoth deals flying around.
  22. He definitely will have been consulted for a character reference.
