Kids these days. "Go HAM, GOAT, is him".
-
We're already in full "fug dem picks" mode. Why slow down now?
-
I bet they're just changing the uniforms. The logo / font won't change.
-
So basically what Tepper has racked up in credit card bills taking the top 4 QB prospects out to dinner then.
-
I like that they're planning on making the blue our primary home jersey - its distinctive.
-
Poor sod.

As a rookie Chinn was our best player on defence - he tackled everything and cleaned up a whole lot from that Star / Rover position. They converted him to S and he just looked lost - too far from the line of scrimmage to make tons of tackles and not quite good enough in coverage to play S. I'm fascinated to see what they do with him next year - there's an All-Pro talent there to unlock imo.

I don't think Luvu is long enough to be a full-time 3-4 edge rusher.

If you had to win a game of College football tomorrow you take Young - no questions. He's a better football player right now - he certainly has more of that 'IT' factor. To me though the NFL Draft is about projection - I just see Young being limited in the NFL. I genuinely don't think he can see the middle of the field - you see him missing wide open players over the middle time after time. He also simply doesn't have the arm to make those off-schedule throws that Mahomes routinely completes (his most favourable player comparison). You would have to build your entire offence around his shortcomings imo i.e. permanently from Shotgun and most throws outside the numbers / deep down the field. I'm not arguing Stroud is going to be a superstar either - I see plenty of flaws in his game too.

CJ Stroud is plenty mobile enough for a pocket passer - I've spent today watching his tape from 2022 and there's plenty of examples of him rolling away from a rusher and extending the play. He's going to mostly hurt you from the pocket, but he's not a statue. I have other worries about him, but his mobility isn't one of them. Hooker at #9 would have got Fitterer fired. As for Richardson - I think he just needs more time in the oven. A one year starter in a very poor offence (both concepts and talent) means he's underdone coming into the Draft. He'll need to sit and learn somewhere - if he goes to the right situation someone might have a franchise QB on their hands.

I'd play Smith at OLB and Luvu at ILB. Chinn would get on the field as a Rover type player. He's proven that he's not good enough in coverage to play SS, but he's probably too small to play LB in a 3-4.

This is why Bryce Young undoubtedly is QB1

I mean Herbert played most of last season with fractured rib cartilage, but sure. -
I guess he didn't make a good impression at dinner.
-
Have people said that Levis can't be fixed? I think the thing people focus on is that Richardson is 2+ years younger.
-
PSA I had to poo you due to your lack of sense of humour. American sports fans need more chants than "Let's go Defence" and "Keep Pounding".
-
You're ruling out a defensive guy with the second round pick?
-
Damn, how small is that indoor facility?!
-
Why? The roster is wide open for playing time.
-
If this doesn't ring out around BOA Stadium when he scores a TD then just fold the franchise.
-
I read that McCown isn't there for this one?
-
What did you expect? It's genuinely the most important decision the franchise is going to make for the next 3 years.
-
I think most agree he's a better College QB, right? It's about projection - how much growth does he have left? Is he maxed out now? It's why someone like Richardson is so intriguing - he has a lot of room to grow as a prospect.
-
You're actually taller than Young.

I think part of the argument for Stroud, and the Goff comparison, is that you can design an offence around him i.e. you know he can hit every throw at every level and with elite accuracy. Like Goff, if it turns out he struggles with processing you can simplify the reads for him, still knowing the ball is going to get where it's meant to go on time (this is why Ben Johnson is so highly sought after). He's a much safer pick than Young, imo. You have a very floor with him, even if he doesn't turn into your franchise QB.
