I'm in France next week, so I'm away from the internet anyway, but I think I need to start avoiding the Draft now for my own sanity. I feel like I'm living in an alternate reality when everyone is praising a QB that has a tiny margin for failure in the NFL due to his physical limitations.

How does coaching fix being 5'10" and 185lbs? Brees had to crane his neck to see over the OLine and he admitted he was still throwing blind to the middle of the field. He was 2 inches taller than Young (and no less athletic).

Imagine trading two first round picks, two second round picks and your WR1 for a 'football genius' trapped in a HS QB's body. Why the hell do you even bother firing Rhule and spending all that money on a brand new coaching staff if you're just going to sabotage yourselves like this? It HAS to be a smoke screen. I cannot believe we're going to be this dumb.

I've also seen him tackled by pass rushers who just had to use a single arm to bring him down. This isn't the case of a small RB being an advantage 'cos he can hide behind his Olinemen.

Yes and no. Young loves to dump the ball off on swing passes and screens, just like Brees.

His size absolutely limits his ability to play QB in the NFL. Ignoring Young's lack of arm talent for a moment, Drew Brees has to crane his neck to see over the OLine and he was still throwing blind at times - he's two inches taller than Young. It's simply not a pick I'd make if my job depended on it - not after trading away the world for it.

He'll never be a franchise QB, but you're right he might be our pick, which would be a crying shame.

When one of the QBs is a 'football genius' trapped in a HS QB's body and the other is 6'4" 240lbs, I'd like to know how significant the difference is between the two on the cognitive test. Young is basically going to have to be Charles Xavier with the power of premonition to make up that gulf in athletic ability.
