  1. Jesus Christ we've fallen far.
  2. He's not a S, he's not good enough in coverage - he can't carry a WR down the field (even though they constantly ask him to do it).
  3. Don't play with Chinn's feelings like that. You know he'd be thrilled to go to a competent franchise - if it's a bogus rumour he'll cry.
  4. It's terrifying, isn't it? Rather than shooting for the moon with the 'massive' project in Richardson, or going the safe route with Stroud, they doubled down on Young's 'processor' being able to overcome his significant physical limitations... and now we hear they're dialling back what they ask him to do mentally. Everybody is getting fired at the end of the season, imo.
  5. If that's true either his OC is calling a perfect game every week, or Stroud is overcoming his play calling on x amount of plays per game and making stuff happen. We of course have no idea if it is true.
  6. They're not going to appoint a GM mid-season, so there's no real point in firing Fitterer besides to take his hands off the controls (so he can't make any more stupid trades). Reich I could see having a come to Jesus moment later on in the season and mutually agreeing to part ways.
  7. So we're either trading nobody or we're trading everyone? Well at least the usual suspects have every avenue covered.
  8. Well and considering the NFL is teeing off on him like they used to tee off on Newton. Someone put it succinctly last week - Newton used to deliver punishment, Richardson receives it.
  9. To me it was always a big red flag that the consensus #1 overall pick and Heisman winner never won a National Championship as a starter at Alabama - in an age where only Alabama, Georgia and Ohio St could realistically compete for one. That consistently got brushed over - in fact people spoke about his poor supporting cast in his Junior year. At Alabama. Nuts. I don't think there's much of a team to tear apart - we blood and guts'd our way to 7 wins last year, but that was about the ceiling of that roster. A new GM, given license, would obliterate this roster - there's very few 'good' NFL players on it and essentially no 'elite' ones.
  10. I think it was also very easy to watch Young play in College and see how his movement and escapability wouldn't translate to the NFL. Which it hasn't.
  11. Sounds very much like something a 20-something Steve Smith would say when faced with criticism...
  12. Dalton has been on 5 NFL teams in the last 5 years - the NFL thinks he's washed. Why should he be better than Young right now? Young was the #1 overall pick that we traded FIVE premium players to select him there. Hell the coaching staff didn't even have an open QB competition in Training Camp because they thought Young would be much better than Dalton.
  13. Screens, swing passes and anything up to 15 yards down the field between the hashes. Y'know, high school QB level throws.
  14. If you say so. I'm still waiting for him to hit a 15 yard out.
  15. This year's team is last year's team + the #1 overall pick + a ton of money spent on FA additions (specifically 2 WRs, a RB and a TE). We didn't lose anyone of note. So this year's team should be better than last year's team, stud.
  16. Scott, call up Miami - they might give you something for Bryce Young.
  17. Cos Fitterer is a moron and will offer far more than he's worth.
  18. Bingo - I'm at the point of hoping for it. It's the shock to the system Tepper needs to completely burn it all down and hand his $2bn baby over to someone that knows what they're doing.
  19. Yeah I think Fitterer is gone. Reich might be gone if we continue to lose. The worry is that Tepper will slant the next GM / HC search towards someone who claims they're able to work with / build around Young.
  20. We won 7 games last year - we might not win 1 this year. It's really not that hard.
  21. If Young had looked like this at all so far I'd be less worried:
  22. I just want to see him make an NFL throw, is that too much to ask?
  23. No, we're not complaining if Young turns into a first ballot HOF QB. The problem is, right now, he looks like a one(season)-and-done QB who's only starting because he was taken #1 overall.
