Of the two, the defence is the far better unit in terms of bang for your buck. All of the resources are in the offence - and the QB is absolutely tanking that unit. If Evero was giving up 26 points a game with us having used the last 4 first round picks on D I'd be complaining. He's been given scraps and expected to field a competent unit. Scourton is the first high pick we've used on D since Horn.

He's out of contract and doesn't want to be here anyway. His historically bad defence had historically bad talent on it by the way.

The problem is you're going to get fleeced. Anyone you'd want to take a shot on, like McKee, the Eagles would ask for a premium pick.

I would bet everything I've got in my bank - and hell the deeds to my house - that if you dropped a good NFL QB into this system the O would hum. Sanders, Renfrow, Hubbard, Dowdle, Coker (IR yes I know) are not bad players. The OLine is outstanding. T-Mac might be a legit #1 WR, but if that's what it takes to haul in Young's passes then we're poo out of luck 'cos there aren't many of those around.

We're basically in a situation where those that defend Young are asking our receivers to win all the 50/50 balls - and blaming them when they lose contested catches. Do you know why our receivers are always having to make contested catches? 'Cos we've got a guy whose ceiling is career backup QB as our starter.
