We're 1-10. Nothing impulsive about firing a HC that's gone 1-10 in his first season when the roster won 7 games last year.
-
Part of the reason why the OLine is struggling is that teams have literally zero fear of Young beating them over the top - so they're happy 'gambling' and sending blitzes. Everyone on defence is within 10 yards of the LOS and half of them are threatening to blitz every down - it must be a nightmare for the OLine.

I'm not a massive fan of Maye, but he's better than Howell, so I assume he'll go on to have a good NFL career.
-
I'm sat here hoping the Committee doesn't give Miami a killer in their Bowl game. We might be starting a walk-on QB.
-
We organise a parade when Young makes a routine throw. That's how bad he's looked. I hate the longing for Stroud, but he'd absolutely be doing much more with this supporting cast and play calling. Richardson would too.

Starting with the QB. Steve Wilks took one look at the roster Rhule and Fitterer built and said "This is a Power Running team". He should never have been the HC, but he at least made us respectable by playing to the strengths of the roster. Reich comes in, with the same OLine, and asks them to Zone block. They're absolutely lost in this scheme.

I remember when one of the talking heads (might have been Florio, could have been Cowherd) said that Tepper was a cheat code as an owner as he was so rich he could buy the best of everything. Then he backed out of the Rock Hill deal and showed his true colours.

I didn't watch that YouTube "The Blueprint" series the Panthers put out this offseason. I was off the bandwagon on Friday 23 April 2023 at 1:15am (GMT).

So here's the thing - I absolutely hate that Young is our QB. He's a terrible NFL athlete and, therefore, a terrible NFL QB. That said there's absolutely no way I'm calling him soft. Dude has taken some hellacious hits and keeps getting up to play the next snap. I respect that.

Someone that thinks they can do better than 1-16 I imagine.

15 year season ticket holder... I won't be renewing

Sweet. "Mr Burns, here's a 5 year contract and an IOU - you'll get paid when we sell the team, you'll be quids in". -

Their bottom line suggests otherwise. -
You could - the players are evidently quitting on Reich and his staff.
-
Yep, shifted us out of the 1pm slot, replaced by the much more interesting Broncos - Texans game. We really are a poverty franchise now.
-
You genuinely have a better view in the stands than the QB does from the pocket.
-
In the first round, only. The rest of his draft classes balanced that anomaly out.

To those who watched all 4th quarters: why?

You're not working hard on the treadmill if you can read comments at the same time. -
Fitterer is an Absolute Idiot for Not Trading Brian Burns in 2022
OldhamA replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed. I do think Burns is playing himself out of a major contract on the open market though - well, unless Fitterer is still here next year and offers him $30m a season over 5 years 'cos he's a moron. -

The terrifying thing for me is that I've made better Draft selections than Fitterer has - from 4,000 miles away with minimal scouting (a few YouTube cut ups) and no sit-down interview with the prospect. Which begs the question, just what the hell is Fitterer doing? How is he possibly qualified for this job? -

What defensive scheme would help Burns? This one lets him stand up as a pass rusher and just try to run around the OT. We know he can't hold up as a 4-3 DE, he gets obliterated against the run. -

There are two franchise-defining moments in the last few years. The first was when they turned down the absurd Burns trade. The second was when they made the trade up to #1 overall (regardless of who they picked). I hated both moves then and sadly I've been proven right. We couldn't have sabotaged ourselves more if we tried. -
I mean he did ask to be picked #1 overall. He hoodwinked our morons by refusing to work out at the Combine, but showing up with 10lbs+ of water weight for the scales. He was gaming the system and found a sucker.
