You can't possibly look at our roster and think "Yeah we were only Stroud (or a QB) away". Don't get me wrong, Young is horrifically bad, but the roster is talent depleted and the stars we've traded away (Moore / CMC) that would help now were drafted by a different GM. Tepper will fug it up, but we needed a complete reset in the Front Office. Otherwise Stroud (or whoever) is just patching a hole on a sinking ship.

I think it's the opposite. Bryce Young is the elephant in the room that needs to be addressed in the interviews. Everything from "How would you tailor an offence around his skillset" to "What would your plan be to move on from him this season" should be on the table. Sadly I don't think Tepper is man enough for that conversation, so he'll force Young, Tabor and Evero on the next guy.

Oh I'm sure he'll be back - which is why we're such an awful franchise.

You can't trade 5 premium players for a guy then sit him. That means he's not worth the pick. If we'd stumbled into the #1 pick on our own, then sure - but we didn't, we mortgaged our future for a QB that was meant to come in and win now.

I watched an interesting interview with Bischoff where he argued that the WCW talent wasn't actually getting paid more money - they were getting guaranteed contracts for less dates (than WWF was offering). Obviously once things started to go south that came to a head 'cos people were getting paid regardless of how over they were - WWF talent was still dependent on being booked (and booked high / on PPVs) to get paid.
