I'm baffled by their process. They strong armed a great coach out the door (admittedly he's 72) and didn't have someone immediately lined up to take over. I was sure they'd tampered with someone.

Doubling down on Young. I don't like it. We NEED Young insurance.

This idea that our Plan B (when Young flames out) is 'gun to the head' "You must draft a QB in the first round of the 2025 Draft" is baffling. -

It wasn't a bad Oline in 2022 and they weren't bad receivers until they got here. -
Canales is the Head Coach - it's his team. Unless nothing has changed of course and someone else is making the staff hires...

I don't think Evero is pitching himself to Canales, I think it's the other way round.

Carroll passed him over twice for a promotion to OC. Interesting.

Rhule has the right process for College. Much like Satan... sorry, Saban, found out. It doesn't work on millionaire athletes.

I don't know if you've looked at the '25 QB Draft class, but it's not the year to want a QB. -

I think we need a veteran QB to steady the ship while we try to stop the bleeding. Asking Nix / McCarthy / Penix to come in at 33 and start winning straight away is foolish. -

We scored 0 points in the final 2 games. How did he learn and improve again? I've never known such a poor player get so much support. -
I'd have loved Rivera to say "Rent, don't buy". Sadly he's not that kind of savage.

Have you been in a coma the last 6 years?

A true test of whether Tepper has more money than God...
-
Last year, yes. He was practically begging for the job. This year we had zero chance. He knows better than to hitch his wagon to Bryce Young.

They won a National Championship - it worked out great for them.

Imagine being so sought after that you can tell a multi-billion dollar entity to hire your son to an incredibly important, well paid job.

Why aren't we interviewing Bill Belicheck?
OldhamA replied to CamWhoaaCam's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the question you need to ask yourself is why isn't Bill Belichick interviewing the Panthers? The dude has 8 Super Bowl rings btw, the least you could do is spell his name correctly! -
Let's hope this is the case.

I'm in the same boat - can only hope Morgan has fired him as his first act in charge. Hated the interview Suleiman gave last offseason (when we were getting ALL the coverage as the holder of the #1 overall pick) where he talked about scouting players. You're the Salary Cap guy, my guy. Stay in your lane.

His agent:

I mean the best GM of recent years was also a HoF TE. Doesn't mean Morgan will be good.

QB Quandary: 2024 Draft, FA Stopgap, or Stand Pat?
OldhamA replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's both. The eye test said don't draft him (small, noodle arm, stacked roster at Alabama). The measurables said don't draft him (5'10", 185lbs). We now have empirical evidence in hard and fast numbers that he isn't an NFL player - yet still they call for him to start next season. It's maddening. -

But they HAVE spent their resources on trying to create some sort of offence. FA signings in Hurst, Sanders, Thielen, Chark and a second round pick on Mingo. They were not bad players when we acquired them. -

It's insanity to run a guy out there that isn't an NFL calibre player at the most important position in professional sports. The NFL thinks Andy Dalton is washed - he looked LIGHT YEARS better than Young in his one start. Young has had 16 games. To quote an amazing film: he has been weighed, he has been measured and he has been found wanting. I'm genuinely baffled that anyone wants to see anymore of him - albeit I was also genuinely baffled that we traded up and selected him. -
I bet it's the other way round - neither Harbaugh or Belichick would give Tepper an interview.
