  1. As I understand it nothing about his salary next year was guaranteed. It was essentially a 2 year deal.
  2. I hope he absolutely bombs in Denver. fug that franchise.
  3. Cos he's undersized and has never stayed healthy enough to play a full season.
  4. 8-3 last year. Baby steps in the right direction.
  5. And that's worse than skinny jeans and ankle socks? I think not.
  6. If I was a GM I'd constantly be running mole hunts. "Oh there's rumours that we like Lance? Well I only told our SE regional scout that. Sharon, have HR draw up his P45".
  7. Still think you're wasting Pitts if you ask him to play as an in-line TE.
  8. It's got to be an American trait to root for your team to lose, right?
  9. To be fair to the Panthers they took a HoF talent in the first round and an All-Pro talent in the second round. Clearly they were feeling it that year.
  10. Players like Smith are why I don't talk in absolutes when it comes to Draft prospects. You just never know.
  11. I don't have an agenda against Bridgewater. I thought it was a good signing at the time and I thought his play throughout the season was fine - albeit it dropped off significantly once he returned from injury. That said it's clear the coaching staff have mentally moved on from him. Something has gone on behind the scenes.
  12. Part of the reason why Bradbury was never considered elite was because QBs weren't afraid to throw his way. He was zero threat to turn the ball over. It matters at the next level when QB play improves.
  13. I mean Smith held a grudge for years. Williams still hates us. It's a business until it's not. We've shat on Bridgewater publicly all off-season.
  14. It's not THE GUY or bust. It's a calculated low risk - high reward gamble. I think he can be the guy, but I'm not privy to all the information our Front Office is. The Bridgewater situation is toxic so they couldn't find go into the 2021 season with him as the only viable starting option at QB.
  15. You keep him and let him compete for the starting job. I'd still trade Bridgewater.
  16. I've never seen him play (or at least if I've stumbled across a Gamecocks game I've never noticed him), but 2 career INTs makes me do a double take. Surely you want a playmaker at CB?
  17. We don't actually know if / what they offered for Watson. They offered #8, a 5th and Teddy Bridgwater (to get his contract off our books) for Stafford - an established upper echelon NFL QB. Not trading the farm for the chance to draft a College player fits in with that valuation.
  18. Again, they've set themselves up so that they don't have to make that franchise crippling trade. If Fields (or Jones or Lance or hell even Wilson, who really knows?) falls to #8 and they have him rated significantly higher than Darnold then you take him.
  19. Again, we gave up the equivalent of our third round pick this year to acquire Darnold. In the grand scheme of things that's nothing. If one of the QBs they love unexpectedly falls to #8 I could understand them taking him. As with the rest of the off-season, they've positioned the team so that it has no glaring holes. Obviously multiple positions are easily upgradable, but you're not forced to draft a particular position.
  20. They've also already got an excellent QB on the roster that they can't move on from for two years. I'd love them to go QB.
  21. I mean how do you think these trades get done so quickly on Draft day(s)? Teams have already put feelers out and know what it'd take to move up. Patriots and Panthers are just doing their due diligence.
  22. Mental press conference: https://twitter.com/fbgchase/status/1386776458614431747?s=20
