If we're honest the #2 QB job is horrifying, but to be fair to the coaching staff they're trying to work out the #1 QB first.

Oh so the Ravens did have another QB, they just didn't play him until it was time to kneel down. How weird - I wonder if we fuged them up in training camp and this was their revenge? Playing the second stringers deep into the fourth quarter.

Iron sharpens iron. I'm happy with the 53 man roster, for the most part. We're carrying about 30 pieces of deadwood right now though. The third string is meant to push the second string and the second string is meant to push the first string. Right now the first string is untroubled by those behind them. That's not how you build a consistently successful team - but we're working on it.

What do you do then?

Y'know when Gantt talks about how we're 3-5 years behind the Colts / Ravens? This is why. Our third stringers are terrible. This isn't on coaching, they're just not very good.

He was until he realised that McCaffrey wasn't coming back and he was going to be asked to carry the load. Then he dialed it back and went down easier.

Starting Oline looked pretty good, but yeah we have v. little quality depth behind them.

He was on STs last week too. Can't just play RB on this team - have to contribute in other ways. Lot of competition in that room.
